BUSTED! Sophisticated Plot To Loot CBN Uncovered

There are just too many people who rely on defrauding the country in different government offices, hence the poor state of our economy and growing poverty in the land.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) revealed on Thursday night that it had uncovered and aborted another highly and sophisticated plot to defraud it by some criminally-minded elements.

The bank also said it placed all key personnel involved in the transaction on suspension in order to ensure a full and unfettered investigation although it noted that investigations are still on.

The Acting Director, Corporate Communications, CBN, Mr. Isaac Okorafor, stated:

“This incidence has been reported to relevant authorities. The CBN wishes to assure the general public that the security of the bank remains intact.”
