Revealed: Fani-Kayode, Udenwa, Falae, Others Shared N3.15b Before 2015

Election

No-nonsense investigators at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have stumbled on big evidence that showed how prominent politicians, mostly from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, allegedly shared N3.145billion in the build up to the last presidential elections.

Those who shared the money are Media Director for Goodluck Jonathan Campaign, Femi Fani-Kayode; ex-SGF and leader of the SDP, Chief Olu Falae; a former Finance Minister, Mrs Nenadi Usman; ex-Imo State governor, Achike Udenwa; former minister of state for foreign affairs, Viola Onwuliri (who's having a fight with her daughter-in-law ) and Okey Ezenwa.

How was the secret sharing exposed?
The money was paid from CBN into the account of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Library, from where it was moved into the account of Joint Trust Dimension Nigeria Limited.

A credible source added that, “It was from the Joint Dimension’s account with Zenith Bank that the money was shared to various individuals and organizations for purposes that are not stated.”

Documents cited revealed that Fani-Kayode was the chief beneficiary of the disbursement as he allegedly received N840million, paid in three tranches into his Zenith Bank, Maitama branch account with No.1004735721. The first tranche of payment involving N350 million hit the account on February 19, 2015. Another N250milion was also paid into the account on February19, 2015 while N240million was similarly credited to the account a month later; precisely, March 19, 2015. The source disclosed that the balance on this account as at December 31, 2015 was N189, 402.72

Next to Fani-Kayode in the order of beneficiaries of the heist, is Goodluck Support Group which allegedly received N320million. Similarly, Chief Falae allegedly received N100m through Marreco Limited, a company where he is Chairman. The fund was credited into the company’s United Bank for Africa Plc account No. 1000627022 on March 25, 2014. Both Achike Udenwa and Viola Onwuliri got N350million in two tranches.

The first tranche of N150million was paid into their joint account with Zenith bank on January 13, 2015. The second tranche of N200miilion has credited into their account with Diamond bank.

Nenadi Usman took her own share of the booty through her Zenith Bank account no. 1000158311 on 7, Kachia Road, Kaduna. A princely N36.9million was credited to her.

Coming at the rear is Okey Ezenwa who also pocketed N100million.

The source discloses that detectives are racking their brains to decipher the motives for the bazaar. “But as things stand, the fact that most of the payments were made in the weeks preceding the last presidential elections leaves very little to the imagination”.

Yet, one knotty question that confronts the investigators is the person behind Joint Trust Dimension Ltd., the account where the fund was warehoused before being wired to sundry beneficiaries. The shadowy figure could help unravel the mystery shrouding the payments, once the veil is lifted.

EFCC say they will get to uncover how money paid into a ministry's account ended up being shared.

Married Woman Killed by her Lover; He Shave her Private Part

I wonder why any wise woman will think that a man who knows that you are married but opening your body for him will take you serious? Even while he's climbing you, he's calling you a fool in his mind..!

As you read this, an official of the Lagos State University (LASU), Samuel Ambe, has been arrested by the police for allegedly killing his lover, Mata Jidonu who is married with kids.

Thirty-two-year-old Mata is married to a lawyer, Sunday Jidonu, for whom she had three children.
It was learnt that her lover works at the Department of Works and Physical Planning of the university.

Mata, who lived in Badagry, left home around 3pm on February 15, saying she was going to buy foodstuffs in the market, but she went straight to her secret lover’s house.
Her husband, who had returned from the court earlier that day as a result of illness, became apprehensive when she did not return on time.

He said, “I came back from the court that day around 2pm because I was ill. On getting home, I found out that my wife was dressed up, ready to go out. I told her to prepare coffee for me because that it is what I normally take in the afternoon. She said I had been taking too much coffee and advised me to eat eba that was already prepared.

“She put the stew on fire while she went to pick our last child, Laura, from the school. I told her to help me buy drugs along the road. The same motorcyclist that took her to and from the school waited for her outside and took her again supposedly to the market to buy beans.

“I slept after taking the drugs. Laura woke me up around 5pm and I asked his brother where their mother was. I called her number but it did not go through. I called her mother, our church and the centre, where she was doing a post-literacy study; they all said she was not with them.”

Sunday said he became more worried when it was 9pm and Mata did not come home. He added that he could not sleep conveniently till the following day when he reported at the Badagry Police Division.

I was at the station, when the head of the vigilante group in our community called me on the telephone that my wife had been found dead in a bush path. When I got to the scene, a crowd had gathered and policemen from Ado-Odo Ota, Ogun State, had arrived to pick her corpse. She was strangled and stabbed in the leg. Her private parts’ hairs had been shaved off,” the husband revealed.

The lawyer told Punch that the nature of Mata’s death prompted him to talk to people living around the area, saying he was told she used to go to the suspect’s home regularly and was there on February 15. The husband said he gave the information to the police, leading to Ambe’s arrest.
He said, “I was told that my wife had been sighted with Ambe on several occasions at his second house and that she entered the building on the day the incident happened. He is a non-teaching staff member at LASU. His family members do not live with him in that house. I reported to the police and eight days later, he was arrested.

The husband added: “As we were going to the station in a police van, he called somebody on the telephone, telling the person in Egun language that the fat woman had been traced to his house. He did not know that I understand the language.”

PUNCH Metro learnt that Ambe’s phones were consequently seized and upon dialing the deceased’s number on one of the phones, it showed ‘D@M’ as the identity of the caller.

“The call logs we got from the MTN office revealed that he had been calling my wife every day since February 1. It was discovered that he had called her twice on February 15, the day she did not come back home,” he added.

It was learnt that the police recovered some charms from the suspect’s house, while bloodstains were found on the wall of the building.

Sunday said, “He (Ambe) begged me to forgive him. He said he was not the one who killed my wife and that he was only dating her.

“But there are enough indications for me to believe that he is behind the death of my wife. Since then, some elders in the community have been threatening me to let go of the matter. I have also been noticing strange movements around my house.”

The Ogun State Police spokesperson, DSP Muyiwa Adejobi said, “The suspect is with us. We have credible evidence to prosecute the suspect and he will soon appear in court.”

Did This Lady Poison Her Boss With Apple? Read Her Story

Life for 23-year-old Oluchi Obi in the last three months has been one tough journey of suffering...
An Imo State indigene, Obi just wanted to make a living as a housemaid when she got lucky and got a job through an agent in the Ajah area of Lagos.

“All I needed to do was to take care of the household and the man’s three children,” she said.

Obi’s boss, 47-year-old Frank Ikoh, was said to be ill at the time while his siblings were also on hand to take care of him in the house...

They said they just needed the housemaid to take care of the children and other chores in the house.

But that seemingly simple job would later land Obi in detention for 39 days on accusation that she was the one who murdered her boss with a poisoned apple barely one month after she got to the house.

The late Mr Ikoh, who lived with his children in VGC, Ajah, was said to have separated from his ex-wife, Nkechi Nnadi, six years earlier.

The family lawyer said he was down with an illness, which gave him recurrent headache even before Obi was employed as a housemaid.

Obi said apart from her, the man’s sister and brother were also living in the house and taking care of him.

But on December 28, Mr Ikoh passed away.

According to Punch, the family lawyer, Mr. Courage Erhuen, said on January 12, two weeks after Ikoh’s death, a team of policemen with the deceased’s ex-wife in tow, invaded the house and shot teargas into the compound “under the guise of effecting an arrest of a suspect for the murder of our client.”

That day, Obi was arrested by the police, while the ex-wife allegedly marched into Ikoh’s bedroom with the assistance of policemen and took possession of a safe, which the family lawyer said contained Ikoh’s personal effects and vital documents.

Obi said the day she was arrested, she was preparing the children for school when the policemen came.

“Everywhere was filled with teargas. Everybody, including the children and oga’s (Ikoh’s) siblings, was coughing badly. So, we had to move out. I was shocked when the policemen mentioned my name and said they were looking for me. They took me into custody and the woman took her children away that day,” she said.

According to Obi, she was told when she was locked up at the State Criminal Investigation Department that a petition had been filed by the man's ex-wife Nkechi, who alleged that she was the one who gave her ex-husband a poisoned apple before he died.

Obi said, “I had never seen her before until that day. I was shocked and did not know why she would make such an allegation against me when she had not even met me before.

“I told the police that I had never brought apple to the house. Apart from that, the man had been sick before I was employed. The man was not even the kind of a person who collected anything to eat from people anyhow. How could he possibly have collected apple from me?

“The woman told the police that somebody must have given me the poisoned apple to feed to him. She told them that the report she got was that the children even wanted to eat part of the apple but that I refused. I don’t know what brought about those lies.

“I told them all these, yet, they detained me in their terrible cell for almost six weeks. They said until they determined what really killed the man, they would not free me. I was in the house with the man’s brother and sister and they all knew I had nothing to do with his death, yet the police acted only on what the woman told them.”

Mr Erhuen, who is now representing Obi along with the Ikoh family, said he was surprised that the police could just arrest people based on an unfounded report from someone who has no evidence of crime and lock the suspect up for six weeks.

While Obi was in custody at the SCID, the report of the autopsy invalidating any claim of foul play in the death of the man came out but yet, they did not release the young woman until the intervention by a former NDDC director effected her release.

AUTOPSY RESULT
A copy of the result of the autopsy conducted on the deceased’s body at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, which was signed by one Dr. Mgbehoma Ikenna, showed the primary cause of death as “acute left ventricular failure” while the secondary cause was identified as “hypertensive heart disease”.

On January 28, the late Ikoh’s lawyer, filed a petition at the office of the Assistant Inspector-General of Police calling for the release of Obi and the personal property of the late Ikoh carted away by the police on the orders of the wife. Again on February 22, another petition was sent to the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, SCID, Yaba.

Mr Erhuen said no action was taken on the matter on both times. Apart from demanding the release of the belongings of Ikoh reportedly taken away, the lawyer is calling on police authorities to take necessary action to remedy the untold hardship brought against the lady as a result of the false accusation against her.

“The police and the ex-wife openly boasted that they were well connected within the corridors of power at the police high command. When they invaded the house, the deceased’s siblings and relatives tried to stop them from taking the man’s safe away, but the police descended on them and beat them up,” he said.

Attempts to get hold of the deceased’s ex-wife have been abortive as an individual who picked her phone said she did not know anyone by that name.

The lawyer said he had approached the Lagos State High Court, to seek the release of the personal properties of the deceased taken away by the police. He also said he would be demanding the sum of N10m as compensation from the police for the unlawful detention of the young lady.
