The 2015 MTV base mamas saw loads of Nigerian celebrities troop into
durban South Africa. Among the long list of Nigerian celebrities was
YCEE, the up and coming rapper who happened to be in Johannesburg South
Africa on a mini tour decided to seize the opportunity to attend the
prestigious event. YCEE was in South Africa to promote his single
"condo" which featured top dance-hall act Patoranking.
Seeing as his style of music (hip hop) is largely appreciated by South Africans, YCEE and his team tinny entertainment decided to exploit the ripe market. Attending the MTV base mamas was something surreal and he was dressed to kill regardless, even for a cameo appearance. He was rated amongst the best dressed on the red carpet by most blogs.
The NEA nominated act and king of new school hip hop YCEE aka new School hip hop #Jagaban later performed live at cocoon lounge in Johannesburg South Africa. As the music icon D'banj was celebrated in S.A.
On the night, YCEE opened the show with an energetic performance and the ever willing crowd loved him. D'banj who won the evolution award at the MTV base mamas was also very impressed by the stage craft of his fellow nigerian. YCEE the condo crooner just released a new single JAGABAN and it has been getting great reviews already!!! This young man is gradually carving out a comfortable space for himself in the Nigerian music industry.
