Toke Makinwa's Husband Apologises To Her For Impregnating Another Woman

Love drama! This matter would have been settled by now and the husband and wife living in peace and love in their home if not for Toke Makinwa who allowed her friends expose it to the media. But her husband has decided to do the honourable thing by apologizing to her publicly for his action.
I am writing to express my sincerest apologies to my wife [Toke Makinwa]. I was wrong, it is indefensible and I am sorry.

I deeply regret what my wife and my family has had to endure. My behaviour has caused a lot of anguish to everyone. Though this matter has been very public in nature, it is a private issue and I would appreciate the opportunity to face it privately.

I love my wife and will make every effort to make things right.

Buhari will not probe Obasanjo, IBB, Abacha's govt, only GEJ's - Presidency

The presidency says President Buhari will only be probing the immediate past administration and will not probe past administrations of Obasanjo, Ibrahim Babangida, Sani Abacha and others. Speaking to newsmen, the special adviser to the president on Media and publicity, Femi Adesina says that President Buhari had stated during his campaign that his probe will only be limited to the immediate past administration

"If you recall, that was already settled before he got inaugurated as president. He has said he will not waste time digging into the far past. The far past will includes Obasanjo and others. But the president has said he will not waste time to go that far.”he said
Former President Jonathan had stated before leaving office that any probe focused on his administration will only amount to witch-hunting.

CBN Governor Emefiele Runs Back to Nigeria after Buhari Lambasted Him Openly

The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, has hurriedly abandoned his role in the delegation of President Muhammad Buhari in the US following a public admonishing he got.

A Presidency source told SR that Mr. Emefiele asked to see President Buhari and then requested to leave for an “important” meeting in London. The President is said to have granted the request.

On Monday, the president had warned his aides against smuggling Nigerian businessmen into meetings during his visit. But Emefiele disobeyed that order.
And later that evening, Buhari openly lambasted the CBN governor for smuggling the former Managing Director of Zenith bank, Jim Ovia, into a dinner organized by the US Chamber of Commerce.

Presidency sources said the CBN governor’s request to leave Washington DC came as a surprise, as he had not previously informed President Buhari of any other meeting he had to attend, especially one that would deprive the President of a prominent member of his delegation.

It is unclear as of the time of publishing this report if Jim Ovia, who was the beneficiary of Mr. Emefiele’s efforts, has also left the United States out of embarrassment.

US 'aiding and abetting; Boko Haram members - Buhari

President Buhari says that the US is 'aiding and abetting' terror group Boko Haram by refusing to supply arms to Nigeria. A US law called the Leahy Law prevents the US government from selling arms to countries which fail to tackle human rights abuses. President Buhari made the accusation while addressing members of the US Institute of Peace yesterday July 22nd
"In our efforts at combating the activities of Boko Haram, the new Government has sought and obtained the support of not only our neighbours other international friends and partners. Regrettably, the blanket application of the Leahy Law by the United States on the grounds of unproven allegations of human rights violations levelled against our forces has denied us access to appropriate strategic weapons to prosecute the war against the insurgents. Our forces have remained largely impotent because they do not possess the appropriate weapons and technology which they could have had, had the so-called human rights violations not been an obstacle. Unwittingly, and I dare say, unintentionally, the application of the Leahy Law amendment by the U. S. Government has aided and abetted the Boko Haram terrorist group in the prosecution of its extremist ideology and hate, the indiscriminate killings and maiming of civilians, in raping of women and girls, and in their other heinous crimes.”he said
