Mother of VP Osinbajo Visits President Buhari and His Wife
10 juicy lyrics from BeyoncĂ©’s new Lemonade album that got people talking
1. "So what are you going to say at my funeral now that you've killed me? Here lies the body of the love of my life whose heart I broke without a gun to my head. Here lies the mother of my children both living and dead. Rest in peace, my true love, who I took for granted."2. "Looking at my watch, he shoulda been home. Today I regret the night I put that ring on. He always got them f--king excuses."
Brace yourselves listeners, because this is only the beginning when it comes to topics of possible cheating.
3. "He only want me when I'm not there. He better call Becky with the good hair."
Rachel Roy acknowledged this by tweeting "Good hair don't care, but we will take good lighting, for selfies, or self truths, always. Live in the light #nodramaqueens."
4. "Middle fingers up, put them hands high. Wave it in his face, tell him, boy, bye. Tell him, boy, bye, middle fingers up. I ain't thinking ‘bout you."
5. "You remind me of my father, a magician… able to exist in two places at once. In the tradition of men in my blood, you come home at 3 a.m. and lie to me. What are you hiding? The past and the future merge to meet us here. What luck. What a f--king curse."
6. "Show me your scars and I won't walk away...every promise don't work out that way."
7. "Ashes to ashes, dust to side chicks."
8. "You know I give you life. If you try this s--t again you're gonna lose your wife."
10. "My grandma said nothing real can be threatened. True love brought salvation back into me. With every tear came redemption. And my torture became my remedy."
At the end of Lemonade, Beyoncé sings about forgiveness and the importance of family.
Tinubu: Current Challenges Will Give Birth To A Better Nigeria
All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader Asiwaju Ahmed Bola
Tinubu has said that the challenges facing Nigeria at the moment will
give birth to a better nation.
He stressed that the process of achieving the required result, though difficult, would lead the country to good fortunes, if undertaken.
Tinubu explained that the challenges demanded that the country changed from dependent on oil or fall by the wayside, adding that there was no third option.

I’m Not Afraid Of Death, declares ex-President IBB
“The rumour does not shock me; neither does it bother me because I know I
must go and meet God, my creator. There is nothing really to worry
about, my religion has told me.
“As a Muslim, I strongly believe everybody will die, everybody will die and everybody has to die. It could be now or in hundred years’ time or two days to come but it doesn’t matter. Everybody must die.”
74yrs old Gen. Babangida said nobody is above illness or death because it has been destined by God.
There were rumours last week that the General was critically ill or might have passed on. But in his time with some reporters on Sunday, he looked very okay.
On the state of the nation, Babangida, who led the country between 1985 and 1993, expressed optimism that Nigeria will surmount its challenges, adding that the future of the country is bright and that it has a lot for the younger generation.
“I still believe very strongly in this country, which is further demonstrated by the people of this great nation because they are a very industrious people, hardworking. That gives me the hope for Nigeria.”

PH and Warri Refineries Now Producing Petrol – Kachikwu
The PHRC now produces 5 million litres of petrol, while WRPC produces 2 million litres daily.
Kachikwu, in a statement on Sunday, said this while reopening the Bonny-Port Harcourt crude pipeline.
The minister said in the statement that the government was doing all it could to clear the queues, as he noted that the Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company was also scheduled to start production any moment from now.
Kachikwu said the coming on stream of the three refineries would go a long way in ensuring sufficient supply and distribution of petrol across the country.
“Port Harcourt is back in production; Warri is back in production; Kaduna, as of today, is receiving crude and will soon be back in production. Lagos is easing off now from fuel scarcity and Abuja is doing the same thing; and once Kaduna begins production, the North will see a lot of improvement.”

Saraki Might Win CCT Case Against Him - Report
At the ongoing cross-examination of the star witness in the trial of Senator Bukola Saraki, Mr. Michael Wetkas, an operative of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has admitted, based on questions from Saraki’s counsel, that the EFCC did not investigate the accuracy of some of the exhibits presented as proof in the trial of the Senate President.
Saraki’s
defense team, led by a former Attorney-General of the Federal, Mr. Kanu
Agabi, have poked several holes in the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT)
case against the Senate President in their thorough scrutiny of Mr.
Wetkas’ testimony.
For
example, Mr. Wetkas has acknowledged that neither he nor his team
investigated Exhibits 11, 12 and 13 of the charges leveled against the
Senate President. An online news portal, The Nation, owned by Mr Tinubu,
the Southwest leader of APC that Saraki fingered as being behind his
ordeal, reported that Mr. Wetkas said the petitions pertaining to the
three exhibits were not investigated by him.
Exhibit
11, which was dated May 22nd, 2012, contained a petition written by the
Kwara Freedom Network inviting the EFCC to investigate the Kwara State
Universal Basic Education Board.
The
witness, while giving evidence in chief, told the tribunal that the
petition by the Kwara Freedom Network triggered the investigation.
“Exhibit
12 was dated on May 7, 2011 but was addressed to the Chairman of the
EFCC asking the anti-graft agency to investigate the Kwara State
Government on borrowings for projects described as phoney. Exhibit 13
was a petition dated June 7, 2012, which dwelt on the mismanagement of
local government revenue in Kwara State between 2003 and 2011.”
It
was also observed that the EFCC did not interrogate the Accountant
General of Kwara State to clarify the allegations levelled against
Senator Saraki. The EFFC witness said that interrogating the Accountant
General was not part of his investigation, despite the fact that a
careful investigation into the petition required such an enquiry.
The
EFCC’s witness also stated that his team did not also get any
verifiable document to back the petition written against Senator
Saraki.
Also
under cross-examination, the witness admitted that investigating the
assets declared by the defendant did not form part of his schedule of
duty. He also admitted that Exhibits 3, 4 and 5, being the asset
declaration forms of the defendant, were duly examined and stamped by
the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) and not the EFCC, his employer. He
added that there was nowhere in the petition he investigated where
Saraki’s assets declaration was in contention, bringing into question
why the the Senate President has been dragged before the Code of Conduct
Tribunal, a body that is solely meant to hold public servants
accountable on their asset declarations.
As
more and more holes are drilled into EFFC’s star witness’ account, if
the law is followed, a mistrial might be declared, leaving the Senate
President vindicated of the 13-count charge that he has been on trial
for.
