NO-NONSENSE CUSTOMS BOSS, HAMID ALI, SPITS FIRE

*Reads riot act at tension-soaked meeting with service brass
The new Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Col. Hameed Ali (retd) on Friday evening gave a clear warning that corrupt officers and men in the agency will be sent to jail.

He also said Customs Area Controllers, heads of units, departments will be accountable for infraction that has to do with false declaration, misapplication of the tariff, undervaluation and concealment.

Ali read the Riot Act at his meeting with all officers and men at the Customs Headquarters, in Abuja.

The meeting was a closed door session and the text of Ali’s address was kept under wraps because of the tension which enveloped the meeting.

Although there was panic among the top brass of the service, Ali said he will reward hard work in the same manner he will punish offenders.

He said: “Since I took over (Thursday), I have been receiving briefing notes to enhance my understanding of the Nigeria Customs Service. I have articulated some ideas to start with, and I have found it necessary to share these ideas with you. These ideas shall be the guiding principle and platform for a smooth takeoff.

“First and foremost, it is important that we know where we are going. We can start by ensuring that we pick up the mantle of Mr. President’s policy thrust. Therefore, in conjunction with you, moving with you and fighting with you we will fight corruption and restore discipline through attitudinal orientation for effective service delivery.

“However, I must stress this for emphasis. I will not tolerate indiscipline. I will not tolerate corruption. I have zero tolerance for corruption.

“Considering my military background, I believe punishment must be punitive for others to see it as a deterrent. Therefore, as an officer of the Nigeria Customs Service, if you are caught involved in corruption, I am not only going to dismiss you, I will make sure I prosecute and jail you. That is basic!”

Actress Saraphina Speaks: Me and My Big Boobs

Many entertainment enthusiasts have made several attempts to identify the actress that has the biggest boobs in Nollywood and many have come up short. But there seems to be one person most of them believe the crown befits – Cossy!

Yeah, good old Cossy would, without much doubts, come to mind because her boobs are almost always out there for all to see. But on a location in Owerri recently, even Cossy took off her hat to another actress, conceding defeat. Of course it is Saraphina Onyeakachi Amaechi...

“Yes, there was boobs competition which I won. But I must confess Saraphina is bigger than me. I only won the contest because she failed a question and I was the next best and more enlightened, so, I won,” says Cossy when asked what it was like going head to head with Saraphina.

No doubt Saraphina’s boobs are there for all to see and it doesn’t appear there is much she could do to hide them, but she would tell you she doesn’t like flaunting them.

“Many people think I flaunt my boobs but I don’t. Why would I want to flaunt these boobs, aren’t they obvious enough?

"Check all Cossy’s pictures and that’s what we call flaunting. For me, I don’t flaunt them," she stressed.

Meet The Man Who Conquered Boko Haram

Lt–Gen. Tukur Buratai: soldier and historian, has a place in history. If it’s correct that no list of the greatest people of the 20th century is complete without General George C Marshall and that of the World War II without Winston Churchill, the world will remember Buratai as the ‘organiser of victory’ and ‘the last great Nigerian soldier’ in the fight against terrorism.

His choice by President Muhammadu Buhari as the Chief of Army Staff was spot on. Not because he hails from the terrorism-ravaged state of Borno, but because of the professionalism and military dispatch with which he carried out the assignment of routing the mindless Boko Haram that slaughtered children, men and women in the North-eastern part of the country.

Courageously foxy, brutal in mien and disposition and deliberate in the deployment of troops, Buratai will enter the pantheon of war heroes, if as the Defence Headquarters said, the expedition will be over before the three months deadline given to uproot the terrorists by President Buhari.

Unlike his predecessors who barked orders from the comfort zones of their offices in Abuja or preferred to grandstand in Aso Rock, Buratai was on the field with the troops.

Wednesday morning, he led Nigerian troops on a field inspection of the recaptured strategic town of Gamboru Ngala in Borno State, crossing a bridge to Fatokol where a huge crowd of Nigerians received them with cheers and tears of joy.

An appreciative director of defence Information (DDI), Col. Rabe Abubakar, enthused, “these terrorists have been subdued, even if they are adopting other means and are re-strategising, we are also doing the same and pre-empting them.

“So, right now, they are completely in disarray, have no command and control of where to plan. We have even taken over their camps that most of them abandoned and are attempting to blend into towns and communities. We have also apprehended some of them and very soon, innocent Nigerians can move back to their communities.”

The war against terror took a different turn since July 13 when the rotund service chiefs were replaced with new ones, who, apparently more apolitical, discharged their duties as officers and gentlemen.

Buratai, who had been in the trenches with the troops as the commander of the Multinational Joint Task Force which has its headquarters in N’Djamena, Chad, all the same came to the fore, shooting from the hips and with all barrels.

He exhibited the uncommon canny to identify with the troops. He exercised with them, ate with them and boosted their morale through welfare packages, including adequate supply of drugs, equipment, compensation with accelerated promotion for deserving gallant soldiers on the field and ensuring that those unjustly court-martialled were given reprieve. At the last count, 3,032 officers and men who would have either been sent to their early graves or imprisoned have regained their love for soldiering, for God and country.

But the 20th Chief of Army Staff could also be weird. Said to be an accomplished infantry senior officer, he enjoys the company of wild reptiles and rears snakes. He has two snakes farms in Nasarawa State and keeps some in his personal house in Mararaba on the outskirts of the nation’s capital.

Commissioned in 1983, there has been no time that his multiple command, administrative and instructional appointments over his 34 years illustrious career has been called to service more than now. His meritorious discharge of the responsibility at once, restored the confidence of the civil populace in our military as it called to question the judgement, integrity and professionalism of those who had superintended the fight against terror since it broke out in 2009 and for which over 5,000 lives have been reportedly lost.

Born November 24, 1960 in Buratai town in Biu local government area of Borno State that has suffered greatly from the brutal threat of the Boko Haram group, General Buratai is a highly decorated officer. He is a Member of Historical Society of Nigeria, with two Master’s Degrees, one in History from the University of Maiduguri and another in Philosophy from the Bangladesh University of Professionals, Dhaka.

Buratai attended the Disarmament, Demobilisation and Reintegration Course in the year 2000 at Cornwallis Park, Annapolis county, Nova Scotia, Canada and the United Nations Staff and Logistics Officers Course, India. At the height of militancy in the Niger Delta, he was also called upon to quell the uprising. These must have equipped him for the assignment that will place him in the nation’s hall of fame as a soldier-statesman.

Buhari Consults Obasanjo Over Some of His New Ministers

*President may submit list to National Assembly in batches
Indications have emerged that the recent audience between President Muhammadu Buhari and his close pal, President Olusegun Obasanjo centred on national issues, especially the choice of new ministers.

Buhari opened up to Obasanjo on the criteria for choosing his ministers. It was learnt that the president said he was seriously considering trying “new hands” instead of recycling the same old ones.

Findings confirmed that the president may send the list of ministers to the National Assembly in batches due to the likely merger of some ministries, departments and agencies.

The first batch is likely to meet the September deadline set by the president.

Investigation by The Nation revealed that the meeting between the two leaders focused on what Buhari had done in the last 100 days, the challenges at hand, and the composition of the FEC.

A highly-placed source said: “Apart from other national issues, the president took time to explain the criteria he will be using to appoint his ministers. He said he might try new hands instead of using the same set of people that had served Nigerians.

“He also said anyone with tainted records or with issues on corruption may not get a slot in his cabinet. I think he is on the same page with Obasanjo on the anti-corruption agenda. The president restated why he would need a team to fix basic things in the country.”

After the meeting, when reporters pressed him for comment, Obasanjo said: “Comot joo” (go away).”

Anytime from now, President Buhari will release the names of the ministers for key portfolios like the ministry of Petroleum Resources, Finance, Works, Aviation, Health, and Justice.

Lagos Babe who Wants to Be A Popular Actress Through Juju Duped & Stripped

I don't know why some ladies and women in Lagos love depending on Juju rather than God's blessings. When they want to marry, they tie men with Juju. If they want to do business, they use Juju for profit. If they are working in an office, they still want to use Juju to get promotion. Lagos babes nawao!

Sadly, one of such ladies just got her fingers burnt. In her desperation to be famous overnight a spiritualist messed her up. He took her money, stripped and bathed her n*ked, etc. Details...

A young lady, Gloria Sule, has been duped by a fake spiritualist, Francis Kalu, after she allegedly paid him N2.1million to prepare charms for her to become a famous Nollywood actress very fast.

The incident, which happened in Lagos, has pitched Gloria against Kalu after his Charms failed her.

Apart from defrauding her, Kalu invaded her privacy by stripping and bathing her under the false pretence of empowering her spiritually.

Trouble started between the two of them when all his promises fail to happen. Gloria discovered that she had been duped after giving the man free access to her body.

When she requested for the refund of her money, Kalu refused. She had to involved the police.

According Gloria, she was introduced to Kalu whose shrine is located at Abule Ado area of Lagos.

During their encounter, Kalu asked her to request what she wanted to achieve in life and she told him that she needed spiritual empowerment to become a popular movie star.

Kalu promised to fulfill her dream and told her that she would pay the amount and thereafter she would embark on spiritual exercise to equip her. He told her the rituals involved him stripping and bathing her with some spiritual materials which she agreed after paying the money.

To convince her, Kalu gave her a time frame when she would accomplish her desire to become famous.

Gloria waited in vain as all the promises failed, she couldn't even get any meaningful movie role. Lol!

Anyway, the spiritualist, Francis Kalu, has been charged to Ejigbo Magistrate’s court. The police at Area ‘M’ Command, Idimu, had arrested him for breach of contract, invading her privacy, fraud, etc.

In court Kalu pleaded not guilty. The presiding Magistrate, J.O.E. Adeyemi granted him bail with two sureties. The matter was adjourned till 21 September, 2015.

Ladies, See Things To Do To Keep Your Man From Other Girls

It will be a very good thing if most ladies can read this piece and know that it will be extremely helpful for them as it will help them keep their man and enjoy marriage the way it should be:

A good cook:
I can not stress this enough. If you know how to cook your man’s favorite food and I mean you really take time out to ask him what his favorite is and you go out of your way to learn the act of preparing such food in the best way he likes for him whenever he wants it then you have secured him.

S*xual delight:
I am not talking about your past but a woman who is sexually decent with her hubby and does not give room for the hubby to point an accusing finger at her is a delight to every man. A man gets turned on even more with the mindset that he is the only one having access to that honey comb but a s*xually indecent woman is a curse to herself and the husband.

Be his personal private Love-peddler:
Don’t be deceived, every man wants his wife to be a sex-maniac for him in the bedroom and the more timid you are the greater the chance of losing him so give him real good in the bedroom and zip him down when he least expects it and blow that trumpet so good and make his head spin and trust me, he will run home to you everyday.

The most boring thing any woman can do is to always wait for her hubby to demand for s*x “ooohh how boring” please develop the act of giving him first attack and scr*w the poo of him after-all he is your hubby and if you don’t do him well, who will?

Financial independence:
Your husband should not be your sole financial plan. Please if you are a “full housewife” reading this i guess its time to free yourself from that. get something doing no matter what and even if you are not allowed to do an office thing just try and get something doing because nothing trips a man than a financially independent lady even if you don’t spend a dime on the home front, the fact that you have something doing that brings home money is good enough. And for those who play to their hubby’s gallery of sit at home order,be ready to be mocked by same man when there is a tilt in his emotional balance.

Humility:
Its so s*xy to have a sweet humble lady who is non abusive to her hubby and his family, a humble woman will be full of respect and adoration for her hubby and even people around her and its very difficult for any-man to do away with a humble non abusive woman.

Fear of GOD:
A woman who fears GOD is a delight to her entire household and she will be a strong pillar for her husband and family. Her ways will be pleasing to GOD and apparently pleasing to her man.

If you are a lady who possesses these 6 attributes even without a child for him yet please relax yourself and don’t bother about any lady snatching your husband. Yes if he is the randy type he may freestyle these attention seeking side chics but he will always run back to you and it will be extremely difficult for any daughter of eve to snatch him from you.

Is Senator Ekweremadu Really Representing The Igbos?

The highest appointment of an opposition party candidate in the Senate was the Minority Leader as enshrined in National Assembly rules during the Peoples Democratic Party’s 16-year reign. The Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, should have contested for the Senate presidency to convince Nigerians he is representing Ndigbo’s interest in the National Assembly instead of settling for deputy.

The Deputy Senate President is his share for supporting Bukola Saraki’s Senate presidency ambition.

He should endeavour to defect to the All Progressives Congress if he sincerely wants to represent Ndigbo’s interest and not the PDP’s latent agenda which is aimed at rubbishing APC’s programmes before the 2019 general election.

The PDP during their 16-year rule never accommodated opposition party candidates for National Assembly top offices that are meant for the ruling party. Why should the APC accept that from the PDP? Ekweremadu’s aim is to destabilise the APC and not to represent Ndigbo. He wants to rubbish President Muhammadu Buhari and his programmes in the eyes of the electorate. Buhari should be wary of the PDP’s plans.

No Part Of Nigeria Will Ever Be Taken By Boko Haram Again

The Defence Headquarters has given an assurance that no Nigerian territory will "ever again" be relinquished to the Boko Haram insurgents or any other rebel group.

“I believe that Boko Haram is no longer strong enough to hold any territory in this country because of the level of losses they have suffered as a result of our offensive.

“I make this comment, not only about Gamboru Ngala, but it applies to any other territory in this country and very soon this issue will be clear for all to see.

“But I can assure you that we are doing a lot and never again will Boko Haram or any group at all be allowed to recapture territories taken by our troops. What happened was in the past, I can tell you that it will never happen again."

The acting Director of Defence Information, Col. Rabe Abubakar, gave the assurance in Abuja on Wednesday while fielding questions from defence correspondents.

He said the Nigerian Armed Forces had severely decimated the command structure of Boko Haram, stressing that the group no longer had the capacity to hold any territory in Nigeria.

Abubakar said recent exploits and gains of the counter-insurgency operations would soon be open for all to see, adding that the Nigerian military had been reinforced to stand any form of aggression.

Nigerian Senator Arrested in Saudi Arabia after False Claims

Senator Hassan Barata has been arrested by Saudi Arabian authorities and he is currently in detention.

According to sources on the ground, when he was arrested and quizzed, he claimed to be an employee of the Nigerian Embassy but his claim was later found to be false.

The senator, who is believed to have
travelled to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia few weeks ago, may have overstayed when he was picked up.

Senator Barata, a former Chairman Senate Committee on Culture and Tourism, represented Adamawa South in the 6th Senate, having been elected in 2011 on the ticket of the PDP.

He was believed to be holding an official passport on the trip.

Recall that the Federal Government has directed the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) to retrieve diplomatic and official passports from all persons who are not entitled to hold such documents.
