WATCH Toke Makinwa’s 1st ‘Sexology’ Vlog – ‘Pleasure or Pressure’
She talks about so many things –
- Nigerians are raised to be ashamed of sex and talking about sex: We’re raised to think that, ‘sex should only be with your rightful partner’ etc.
- The fact is people will have sex regardless of marital status.
- People are so ashamed of sex that they can’t call the ‘organs’ by the rightful names. So people say words and phrases like ‘his thing’, ‘her snail’, kpekus, prick etc.
- Toke thinks it’s not every relationship you should have sex in.
- She says women especially should be careful that they’re not having sex for the wrong reasons. “If he’s not taking you seriously before the sex, then he won’t after the sex.”
- Toke answers an email from a fan whose guy likes to have sex for a long time (over an hour) without reaching orgasm.
- She also shares her fair share of tips – “Pay homage down there”…

Ooni of Ife’s Wives Can Only Be Inherited by New Oba or Stay Widows
According to an unnamed palace chief in Ife, the wives of the late Oba Okunade Sijuwade cannot re-marry. They can only be ‘inherited’ by the next Ooni of Ife or remain widows.
The Nation reports,
“The rules is general and applies to all Ooni that has passed on and not peculiar to the wives of Oba Sijuwade, the immediate past Ooni. There may not be a clearly defined repercussion against the tradition but it is advisable that the order is obeyed at all times and for all generations. The best that can happen to the Oloris left behind by any late Ooni is for them to remain single or be inherited by the reigning Ooni.”He added that it does not matter whether the wives are young or old,“what matters is that the tradition must be sustained in the overall interest of the society.”The late Ooni’s wives are Oloris Morisola, Ladun, Odunayo, Adedolapo and Linda and their ages are between 40s and 60s.The first wife, Olori Yetunde, the mother of the first son, Prince Adetokubo, died some years ago, long before Oba Sijuwade.
Photo: Guiness World Records recognizes 112yr old Japanese as the world's oldest man
Yasutaro Koide, a 112-year-old resident of Nagoya, Japan, who recommends not smoking, drinking and avoiding stress as his secret to a long life, was on Friday August 21 officially recognized by Guinness World Records as the world’s oldest man. Koide was born on March 13, 1903, and worked as a tailor. He became the oldest man with the death of Sakari Momoi of Tokyo in July at age 112.
Three of his seven children, two of his nine grandchildren and one great grandchild attended a ceremony at a nursing home where he was given a plaque and a green vase. Koike was beaming, but teary-eyed as those attending applauded.
"The best thing is to not overdo,” he said. He also recommended not smoking or drinking, and said his favourite food is bread. Koike also recommends “enjoying everything,” according to local reports that say he can read the newspaper without glasses.
The newspaper Chunichi Shimbun quoted a granddaughter, Aya Kikuchi, saying her grandfather once tended to be very strict about manners. “He was very stubborn, but he got nicer with age,” she said.
“His lifestyle is one that avoids stress.” One of the world’s fastest-ageing countries, Japan has about 54,000 centenarians. So many, in fact, the government is reportedly considering scrapping or scaling back a 52-year-old programme that presents each person reaching the century mark with an ornate sake dish and letter of congratulations from the prime minister.
The world’s oldest person is Susannah Mushatt Jones of Brooklyn, New York, who celebrated her 116th birthday on Monday.
