Ambode wants FG’s task force on Lagos lands eradicated
Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos state, yesterday, accused members of the Presidential Task force Implementation Committee on the alienation of Federal Government Landed Properties of not working in the interest of Federal Government nor the state therefore wants them disbanded.
The task force started its operations during the immediate past President Jonathan’s administration.
Ambode in a statement through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Habib Aruna, said the call became necessary following several petitions over alleged nefarious and reprehensible activities of the federal task force.
According to him, the taskforce, whose existence and legality was still in doubt, had unlawfully embarked on the seizure and appropriation of state and federal government properties.
He stressed that the activities of the task force had left in its wake a near total destruction, displacement, stoppage including unprovoked mass harassment, intimidation, molestation and denial of the original owners of the land and properties.
The Governor has also charged Private Sector Participants, PSPs, to improve on waste management performance in line with basic standard in order to ensure a cleaner and healthier state.
He made the remarks through the new Managing Director of Lagos State Waste Management Authority, LAWMA, Mr. Abdulwahab Ogunbiyi during his inaugural meeting with stakeholders at Waste Transfer Loading site, Agege.
He also solicited the support of stakeholders for effective waste management and assured them that the authority would continue to make available all the necessary infrastructural technical assistance for the private collectors to enhance their services.
According to him, it is no longer the responsibility of LAWMA alone to carry waste, but to manage and regulate the activities of the PSPs, “but as partners we all have to join hands to ensure a cleaner and healthier state”
He also promised to carry on the achievements of his immediate predecessor, Mr. Ola Oresanya whom he described as a bosom colleague and commended him for taking the agency to an enviable height.
At the meeting were 350 PSP service providers, made up of marine waste evacuators, street sweepers and PSP operators across the 57 Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas in Lagos State.

Tonto Dikeh's New Husband Left His Wife To Marry Her?
Some people just like hating. After
Gideon Okeke shaded Tonto Dikeh following the news of her 'marriage' to
Obasanjo's son, Oladunni Churchill, folks have been saying the guy left
his wife to be with Tonto.
But that is not the truth, the guy and his ex-wife have since gone their separate ways after break up. In fact, he wanted to date Tonto Dikeh first but she was the one who ignored him and went with that guy who is into jewelry design until he left her for the daughter of a Senator.
Tonto is very lucky that she didn't get pregnant for him as Oladunni is not ready to marry a single mum.
So, she went back to the guy she did shakara for before and he accepted her back. As for his relationship with former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Oladunni's father is Obasanjo's younger brother. So, Tonto is not wrong to describe Obasanjo as her father-in-law.
For those ladies who want to know, the guy is big in business and has a lot of cash to spend. *wink*

Mally Mall because they don't want to share the small screen with an
openly gay rapper.

We're told a number of the rappers are upset with producers for hiring Milan ... not because he's gay but because he has no cred in the rap game. They believe producers hired Milan as a "sideshow" and a "circus" to goose ratings.
Milan, who calls himself a rapper/model, has worked with big rappers, but mostly as a writer. We're told at least 3 of the rappers on the show have made it clear to producers ... they don't want to film scenes with Milan. They won't show up to parties or other events where Milan is present.
The rappers say they want nothing to do with Milan because he's a joke, but we're told Milan's made it clear to producers the other rappers have made their feelings about gay rappers obvious.
My parents split up after 17 years of marriage - Dakore Akande
Asked how she has been able to stay married, mother of two, Dakore Akande, who has been married for 5 years to Olu Akande, said;
"Yes, marriage is under siege but through a lot of prayer. Joint prayer. My husband and I, we make a point of duty to always pray together no matter the schedule. We just identify that God is our mainstay and that He is the third cord in our strand. I realized that whenever we start to deviate from that is when trouble would come. God instituted marriage and the only way it is going to work is if we tap into that source, which is God. And apart from that, it has to do with the encouragement of both families because the two families have to encourage each other. We do have our challenges, don’t get me wrong. My parents split up after seventeen years of marriage. I know what that means. I have that at the back of my mind. We did marriage counseling and that still helps." she told Icampus magazine
