New Love & Hip Hop cast member says rappers won't shoot with him because he's gay

Well, with a pic like this, you can't blame them. The newest member of 'Love & Hip Hop Hollywood' Milan Christopher believes he's being shunned by other cast members including Ray J, Soulja Boy, Omarion and Mally Mall because they don't want to share the small screen with an openly gay rapper.

From TMZ
Milan has been filming for 3 weeks, but we're told the majority of rappers on the show are shunning him. Rappers on the show include
We're told a number of the rappers are upset with producers for hiring Milan ... not because he's gay but because he has no cred in the rap game. They believe producers hired Milan as a "sideshow" and a "circus" to goose ratings.
Milan, who calls himself a rapper/model, has worked with big rappers, but mostly as a writer. We're told at least 3 of the rappers on the show have made it clear to producers ... they don't want to film scenes with Milan. They won't show up to parties or other events where Milan is present.
The rappers say they want nothing to do with Milan because he's a joke, but we're told Milan's made it clear to producers the other rappers have made their feelings about gay rappers obvious.

My parents split up after 17 years of marriage - Dakore Akande

Asked how she has been able to stay married, mother of two, Dakore Akande, who has been married for 5 years to Olu Akande, said;
"Yes, marriage is under siege but through a lot of prayer. Joint prayer. My husband and I, we make a point of duty to always pray together no matter the schedule. We just identify that God is our mainstay and that He is the third cord in our strand. I realized that whenever we start to deviate from that is when trouble would come. God instituted marriage and the only way it is going to work is if we tap into that source, which is God. And apart from that, it has to do with the encouragement of both families because the two families have to encourage each other. We do have our challenges, don’t get me wrong. My parents split up after seventeen years of marriage. I know what that means. I have that at the back of my mind. We did marriage counseling and that still helps." she told Icampus magazine

Man whose daughter drowned in sea 'stopped lifeguards from saving her because he didn't want her touched by strange men'

The father of a 20-year-old woman who drowned in a Dubai sea reportedly stopped lifeguards from saving her because he did not want her to be touched and dishonoured by strange men.

The unnamed Asian man allegedly preferred to let his daughter die than have her 'dishonoured' by rescuers, according to police. Lt Col Ahmed Burqibah, Deputy Director of Dubai Police’s Search and Rescue Department, said the girl got into difficulty on a beach in the city.
He said: 'This is one of the incidents which I cannot forget.
'It shocked me and many others who were involved in the case.
'The Asian father took his wife and kids to the beach for picnic and fun.
'The kids were swimming in the beach when suddenly, the 20-year-old girl started drowning and screaming for help.'
Lifeguards tried to rush into the water to help her, but the father became aggressive and pulled them away, Lt Col Burqibah told Emirates24/7.
He added: 'There was one obstacle which prevented them from reaching the girl... the belief of this Asian man who considered that if these men touched his daughter, this would dishonour her.
'He told them that he prefers his daughter being dead than being touched by a strange man.'
The father was later 'prosecuted and sued' for preventing the rescue teams from saving his daughter's life, he said.

Banks reduce withdrawal limits on ATMs

In the new arrangement, all ATMs that were enabled for domestic and foreign transactions have been restructured to limit Naira cash withdrawal at ATMs from N150,000 per day to N60,000 per day while foreign currency is $300 per day.

The new arrangement has separated traditional ATM from MasterCard credit card where the former has now been deactivated and can no longer be used for transactions abroad.

Henceforth, a single ATM card serves for transactions for both domestic and abroad.

Also, the restructured cards now have spending limits on POS/eCommerce (online shopping) at $300 (about N60,000) per day. Before this, the limit was N2 million per day.

In a communication to the customers, the bank explained:
“In view of the increased difficulty in sourcing foreign currency to settle international transactions on Naira MasterCards, we have reduced the daily international spending limit on your Naira MasterCard to $300.This means that you can only spend up to $300 daily when using your Naira MasterCard for international payments via POS and online.
“You will, however, continue to have the option of paying for medical bills, school fees, mortgages and credit cards using Form A, as these are eligible transactions for foreign currency. Simply visit any GTBank branch to complete a Form A along with the required documents to make these payments.”

These developments came on the heels of Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) statement on Sunday that all legitimate requests for foreign currency for eligible transactions, normally referred to as “invisibles,” such as remittances for school fees, student maintenance allowances, BTA, PTA, medical and other eligible transactions, shall be fully met at the official/interbank exchange rate.
A statement from the CBN added:
“The CBN hereby directs all authorised dealers in foreign exchange in Nigeria to henceforth treat as top priority all legitimate demand for foreign exchange for eligible transactions.
“The CBN once again advises individuals that wish to source foreign currency for such eligible transactions to approach their banks with their legitimate demand as the CBN has made adequate provisions of foreign currency for all such legitimate and eligible purposes.
“Furthermore, holders of Naira denominated debit and credit cards shall continue to have access to the use of their cards at ATMs in any part of the world but subject to the annual limit of $50,000. ATM withdraws shall continue to be a maximum of $300 per day.”

IG says Senate forgery allegation raises issue of criminality

The Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Solomon Arase, defended police investigation into the alleged forgery of the Senate Standing Orders 2015, in a preliminary objection opposing a suit filed by the Enugu East senator in the National Assembly, Mr. Gilbert Nnaji, which asked the Federal High Court in Abuja to restrain the police and the Attorney-General of the Federation from taking any further step on the allegation.

Nnaji filed the suit asking the court to stop the police investigation on the grounds that it
“is inspired by a devious petition by the Secretary of the Unity Forum Senators, solely aimed at unjustly incriminating the Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu.”
The office of the Attorney-General of the Federation, the second defendant to the suit, has also filed a similar notice of preliminary objection, asking the court to strike out the suit, which it said ought to have been instituted by Ekweremadu, if the police investigation was really meant to unjustly incriminate him.

In the preliminary objection filed by the counsel for the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Oloye Torugbene, the police asked the court to strike out the senator’s suit because the plaintiff lacked the legal right to institute the suit.
The police added that the forgery allegation raised “issues of criminality” and “not simply an issue on the floor” of the Senate.

They added that no Nigerian had immunity against investigation and that investigating alleged forgery could not amount to undue interference in the affairs of the Senate.

A counter-affidavit accompanying the preliminary objection and deposed to by an officer in the Legal/Prosecution Section of the Force Criminal Investigation Department in Abuja, Joshua Yohanna, stated, “Every Nigerian can be investigated for crime. There is no immunity against investigation in all civilised countries, Nigeria inclusive.
“Investigating the allegation of forgery can only strengthen the integrity of the Senate and the Senate leadership.”
The police urged the judge to strike out the suit   because the plaintiff had not demonstrated that he had “special interest that is beyond that of every other senator.”
They insisted that they had a duty to investigate allegations of crimes and that their “duty will be impeded” if the court granted the prayers sought by the plaintiff.

The counter-affidavit also read:
“The first defendant (the Inspector-General of Police) has a duty and responsibility to investigate all allegations of crime; to determine whether allegations of forgery are made out; who committed the said forgery; and if there is a forgery at all, in the first place.
“Investigating the allegations and determining the culpability or otherwise of the alleged culprits will lead to a just conclusion of the matter.
“Non-investigation of the allegations will engender mistrust amongst the disputing sides.
“The matter at hand is not simply an issue on the floor.
“The matter at hand raises issues of criminality.
“The first defendant (the Inspector-General of Police) owes Nigerians the duty to unearth the truth behind the allegations of forgery.”
The police maintained that the IGP had never taken side on the issue and would remain neutral.
“The first defendant is neutral in this matter. “The first defendant has not taken sides, will not take sides and does not take sides on issues of this nature at all.”
Justice Gabriel Kolawole fixed September 8th for the hearing of an application filed by another Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi seeking to be joined as a defendant in the suit.

Mother dies after undergoing butt-enhancing surgery

A 30-year-old mother of one has died after complications from surgery to put silicon padding into her butt.
Katherine Castano Orozco of Cali, Colombia, died from thrombophlebitis 20 days after the operation. The condition  typically occurs in the legs when a blood clot blocks one or more veins. The vein becomes inflamed by the blood clot, and may become warm or tender.

Surgery, trauma and prolonged activity are all causes of thrombophlebitis, according to the Mayo Clinic.
Orozco had been bleeding, which increased over time, before her relatives realized something was seriously wrong.

The death is the 5th recorded case of a woman dying after undergoing surgery this year in Cali.
"It is a crazy thing. People are worried about their beauty and are sacrificing their health for cosmetic changes,” Fernando Gutierrez, Cali’s secretary of municipal health, told said.

He added that there is an urgent need to identify and register providers of these cosmetic operations. So far, the city has registered 340 service providers.
