Did Former Lagos Gov. Fashola Really Spend N78.3 Million on His Personal Website?

Fashola in Blue
This is the question many are asking, as the topic has been trending on several online news sites, and on social media for the past few hours.
Premium Times reports that former Lagos State governor, Babatunde Fashola, approved  the sum of N78.3 million (approximately $400,000) from the state’s treasury for the upgrade of his personal website.
The report further states that the news was revealed on the state public procurement office’s website, and was first exposed by noted budget analytic firm, BudgiT. The contract for the upgrade of the website was reportedly awarded in 2014.
According to Sahara Reporters,  the contract was awarded to a company named Info Access Plus Limited, and “a Google search by TheNEWS did not turn anything out about the company.”
Here is a screenshot from the site, as posted by SR:

The Premium Times report also states:
According to information technology experts,www.tundefashola.com, created by the firm for the former governor, is a WordPress website and an upgrade could not have cost more than N300, 000.
Other questionable expenditures incurred by the administration include N1.2 billion vaguely spent on the “construction of pedestrian bridges along Oti-Osa Lekki-Epe Expressway”. The spending did not specify the number of bridges.
In the same year, the government also awarded contract for the provision of wall signage in three magistrate courts at the cost of N17 million.
The Fashola administration further spent N3.46 billion for the construction of a beach resort in Ilase and N61 million for a Range Rover SUV and 2 Toyota Hilux trucks as the official vehicle of the Chief Judge of the State.
The document shows that the administration also spent N85 million for the repair and replacement of street signs.
Other curious expenses contained in the document include N330 million spent for the development of the residence of Mr. Fashola’s deputy, Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, and N94 million spent on “printer consumables”.

According to reports, Tyga gave Kylie Jenner a Mercedes G-Wagon for her 18thbirthday but it appears to be the exact same car he previously gave to his exBlac Chyna, except now it has been painted fiery red.
TMZ discovered that the car previously used by Blac Chyna and the car that Kylie Jenner was spotted driving around in on Friday night have the same license plate number.
According to reports, the car was originally black but Blac Chyna painted it white, then pink. Then Tyga collected it back when they broke up and now he has painted it red and given it to Kylie Jenner.

Presidency Replies PDP: If You're Guilty You Should Be Afraid

The Presidency has declared that the anti-corruption war of President Muhammadu Buhari administration is in motion and would continue, irrespective of whose ox is gored.

The reiteration was a direct response to the accusation levelled against it by PDP Senators, led by the former Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Godswill Akpabio that the anti-corruption war lacked transparency and was being targeted at mostly those in the opposition PDP.

But is that are innocent men being prosecuted? If you are guilty then you should be afraid of Buhari.

Speaking to Vanguard in Abuja in response to the accusation, presidential spokesman, Mr. Femi Adesina stated that it was natural for the guilty to be afraid. He said the anti-graft war which is one of the cardinal objectives of the Buhari administration must continue despite PDP's opposition against it.

“It is only the guilty that can be afraid. If anybody is not guilty, they should not be afraid. This president will not witch-hunt anybody. But is anyone has skelton in his cupboard, he has every right to be afraid.

“If they don’t have skeltons in their cupboard, they have no cause to be afraid but anybody that has any skelton in his cupboard has every right to be afraid.

“War against corruption is one of the cardinal objectives of this administration and the war will not hold on because some people are afraid.

“The war will continue... So, if anybody has skelton in his cupboard, yes, he has a right to be afraid but the war is not targeted at anybody”, the Presidency stressed.
