Pastor R*pes Teenage Girl During Vigil In The Night

A pastor with a new pentecostal church located in Port Harcourt Road in Onitsha, Anambra State, identified as Nzube Ohuama, has been arrested by men of the Nigerian police after he allegedly r*ped a 13-year-old girl during a vigil night programme organised by the church.

The young girl had gone with her parents to the church for the monthly vigil when the pastor lured her into a private room attached to the church and forcefully had his way into her.
It was also reported that Pastor Ohuama had earlier prophesied to the girl’s parents three days before the incident that she had an evil spirit that was tormenting her and he had to conduct a special prayer programme for her.

The pastor, according to information, had further warned the parents of the girl that if the evil spirit in the girl was not exorcised, a lot of harm would continue dogging them, so they had given him the go ahead to deliver her of the foul spirit but instead of doing what he promised, he ended up defiling her.

It was gathered that at about 1am when the vigil was in full swing, the pastor called out the girl and told the congregation that he had a special assignment to carry out on her and took her to the private room.

It was while he was at it that the girl’s sister walked to the pastor’s office and was surprised to hear her sister crying in pains. When the girl finally came out, she had blood stains on her and the sister pressured her into telling what Pastor Ohuama did to her.

They reported the r*pe to their parents went to the Fegge Police Station and Pastor Ohuama was arrested.

As at the time of posting, the matter is still at the police station.

Jonathan is Like Somebody Under a Spell, Not a True Christian – Bishop Mike Okonkwo

...Reveals how his first child died, he left her body in the room and went out to preach
Dr Mike Okonkwo is the presiding Bishop of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission, TREM, with over 160 branches in Nigeria and across the globe. The man of God who will celebrate his 70th birthday come September 6, in this interview shares his life challenges, his turn around as well as the present anti-corruption crusade in the country. Excerpts:
I admire ex-President Jonathan so much, but he didn’t have the gut to fight corruption. I will also blame the men of God [around Jonathan]. I will say the men of God, failed Jonathan. Because Jonathan was operating like somebody under some spell and we (the men of God) had the responsibility of taken him out of the spell, pray with him even for three days and whatever was holding him would have been removed. But we did not do that. Probably, he had the intention of doing the right thing but forces were against him and don’t forget he was not a matured christian. We would have taken him out and probably we would not be in this mess today.

On his life Challenges
Here were several challenges, and even now there is no end to challenges. The first one as a Minister was when I lost my first child. I got married to my wife in 1980 and we had our first daughter in 1982. We went to a crusade in Abeokuta in December 1984, we came back before the Christmas and on the Christmas eve, She developed high fever and early morning of 26th she died. It was a day I was going to preach.

After praying and she did not come to life again, I left her in the room and still went to preach. I did not mention what happened to anyone. As a minister, that is one of the challenges you face. Another experience was that my immediate younger brother who was the only support I had when I went into a ministry. We were six boys and four girls our parents had. He had passed the high level exams and was to go for Medicine. But my parents did not want him to go as a way of punishing him for supporting my cause as a minister.

They wanted to know if that could make me change my mind. But as God would have it, he still went to the University, passed as a medical doctor, joined the Navy and still joined me in the ministry. He was one of our praise and worship leaders. So, in the late 80s, I was traveling out and I asked him to conduct an interview on my behalf. It was when armed robbery began as an issue then. Some robbers followed him to his car, closed-in on him inside the church compound and asked him to bring the key of the 504 car. I think the military instinct in him made him to resist and started fighting them and he was shot. They took him to one hospital in Akoka, that could not manage the situation, yet did not refer him. I was abroad, I got wind of the situation and I asked that they moved him to better hospital, but unfortunately, it was late, he died.

It was very devastating to me. But I made up my mind, challenges should not make me reject the call of God. I told myself that the best I could do is to be the best in my calling. There are also challenges of not having enough funds to do the calling of God. For me, if everything you need is already there, then you don’t need God. So, if it is God that provides everything you need, you must depend on God for your needs.

About Nigeria
I have always said it that God’s hand is upon Nigeria. If not it would have been Nunc dimittis long ago. But God has a prophetic hand upon Nigeria. It is not an accident, irrespective of our different challenges, and contradictions. So, whether the devil likes it or not Nigeria is going to be very great.

On Buhari’s anti-corruption crusade
Everybody knows that corruption has killed us. It is not only endemic, in fact, the level is that if you are not corrupt, you will not be a good Nigerian. That is the level we have degenerated. And it is unfortunate calling Buhari Mr. Go-slow. How do you want him to come and clear the mess of 16 years in two days? I don’t know why we are never truthful with ourselves. If the only thing Buhari can achieve is just to instil fear of corruption, and all the machinery of government and agencies are working to dissuade corruption, then we would have achieved a lot.

Have you noticed that suddenly, electricity is working? EFCC has come alive? Where have they been all these years? The reason they were not working before was that no one would indict or punish them.

On his wife
I don’t think I would have been able to achieve what I have achieved if not for the wonderful wife God has given to me. One of the things that is common to those who are called is that they are not only husbands to their wives, they are husbands and fathers to a lot of people. So, if you have a wife that does not understand this fact or that is possessive, she could destroy your work.

If everyday we are always fighting at home, with the huge responsibility I have in the church, I don’t know how I would have survived. I thank God for having an understanding wife, as people often come to thank her for something I had done. Again, she has covered a lot of my weaknesses, reaching out to people and places that I was not able to reach out to. She is certainly a huge contributor to the work God has called me.

UNBELIEVABLE: NDDC Spends N1.3b to Celebrate Christmas

In pursuit of his anti-graft crusade, President Muhammadu Buhari may have to beam his searchlight on the dirty activities going on in the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC.

If findings and documents obtained by Vanguard are anything to go by, NDDC is panning out as a cesspool of corruption.

The documents indicate that the agency, which is being supervised by the Presidency through the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, has brazenly ignored the provisions of the Public Procurement Act, PPA, in the award of contracts for projects and services, thereby allowing its cronies to smile home with huge amounts of public funds.

Over-shooting contract limit
he 2007 PPA sets limits on contracts that key officials of the commission can award; what the board can approve; what should be sent to the Bureau of Public Procurement, BPP, and what the Federal Executive Council should handle, in the spirit of transparency and accountability.

Under the PPA, the Managing Director of the NDDC, can award contracts that are not above N200 million while the board can approve jobs that are not above N1 billion. Specifically, any job above N1 billion must be subjected to a competitive bidding process and awarded by the FEC after being processed by the BPP, another agency under the Presidency.

Contract-splitting
However, findings show that the NDDC management has chosen to use contract-splitting as a weapon to award huge contracts beyond its limit without passing through the BPP, thereby making it possible for ‘insiders and their associates,’ particularly influential political elements, to make away with billions of Naira from the commission.

Ignored Jonathan’s directive
The commission under the current board, appeared to have ignored ex-President Goodluck Jonathan’s directive to it not to award new contracts but to strive to complete abandoned ones so as to clear the backlog of funds being owed local contractors.

Contact bazaar
Contrary to the Presidential directive, the new board embarked on contract bazaar within the first two weeks of its inauguration actively acquiring even second-hand exotic vehicles at the cost of new ones.

Documents at the disposal of Saturday Vanguard show that within its first two weeks the managing director single-handedly issued a local purchasing order, LPO, valued at N888,175,500 million to a Port Harcourt-based car dealer to supply 40 assorted vehicles.

Of the vehicles ordered, four were armoured Sport Utility Lexus and Land-cruiser vehicles valued at N213.8 million. It is not clear when the vehicles were supplied and who is using them.

Shortly after the acquisition of the expensive vehicles, the commission ordered the procurement of security vehicles for the Nigeria Police at the cost of N12.5 billion to enable the police provide adequate security for the nine Niger Delta states of Abia, Imo, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Bayelsa, Rivers, Edo, Delta, Edo and Ondo.

However, to prevent the huge contract from getting to the BPP and the FEC for scrutiny and approval, the commission carefully split the supply job into 12 slots and awarded it at the cost of N985 million to each of the contractors.

Not done, the NDDC shortly after awarded another contract worth N2.7b to 30 limited liability companies suspected to be owned by close associates of key officials for what it called “Intelligence-gathering and management.” Each of the 30 firms got N99.7 million from the NDDC for the job which should have been handled by the security agencies.

The contract bazaar was quickly followed by another award of N1.6 billion job carefully split among 85 companies for the ‘procurement, transportation and delivery’ of waste disposal trucks to the commission.

Each of the ‘lucky’ contractors got between N61 million to N835 million depending on the strength of their connections with the top hierarchy of the agency and influential politicians managing the commission.

Internal disagreement
The contract bazaar has even led to some disagreement between the board and some accounting/procurement officials.

In one very despicable case, the commission ignored the professional audit query/advice not to award a ‘Quick-impact’ job valued at N715 million to one person to act as both contractor and consultant.

Brewing trouble
But trouble is currently brewing in the commission following the resolve of some aggrieved management staff and top officials to expose the rot in the establishment, leading to the release of financial malfeasance that has been going on in the place since the last board was inaugurated in November, 2013.

One of the documents indicate that the sum of N1.3 billion was approved and released for NDDC Christian Fellowship and NDDC Children and Disable families end-of-the-year parties.

While the Christian Fellowship reportedly received N500 million, the NDDC children and disable families got N800 million.

The commission is also said to have inexplicably moved the sum of N100 billion from its Access Bank account on Agip Road branch to an undisclosed location, in the heat of the last election, in which Buhari won thereby raising eyebrow among staff and stakeholders.

Petitions
Several petitions have been fired to the Presidency to move against the board and urgently launch a full scale probe into the operations and finances of the NDDC, whose contractual obligations now stand at a frightening N800 billion as of the end of July.

The debt is said to have risen exponentially following the award of frivolous and politically-motivated contracts to individuals and groups by the sacked board in the run-up to the last election.

NIDESTAF petition
One of the petitions now before the Presidency and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC was written by Niger Delta Stakeholders Forum, NIDESTAF.

In the petition dated June 15, 2015 and signed by the President, Benson Georgewill and National Secretary, Timi Oghalle, the stakeholders pleaded with Buhari to urgently raise a probe panel to ascertain the true position of the finances of the NDDC.

The group also asked the President to take steps to retrieve the funds of the commission from those found to have illegally taken them.

Director to brief Buhari
The happenings in the commission are said to have infuriated the supervisory department in the OSFG. It was learned that a director in the Presidency has decided to brief PMB, next week, on the massive fraud in the NDCC so as to clear his name and office.

Why I Slept with the Female Student inside UNILAG – Lecturer

For nine days, Shola (real names withheld) was in pain. The abdominal pain she endured felt as if a knife got stuck in her. She was scared but she had no choice but to endure the pain since she couldn’t imagine telling her parents the trauma she had been subjected to that led to the pains she was going through.

“How could I face them? How could I tell them that the man they handed me over to, to help me process my admission, had r*ped me?” Shola said.

But then, much as she tried, she couldn’t continue hiding her ordeal...
especially when the pains had become unbearable. Her parents eventually got to know what their daughter had passed through in the quest of trying to become an undergraduate of UNILAG.

As reported by PUNCH, 18-year-old Shola is one of the numerous hopeful candidates, wishing to secure admission into the school. But her score of 211 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination fell short of the requirement for Mass Communication, which was her choice.

Her father, who resided in Abesan Estate in Ipaja area of Lagos, had done all he could to ensure that her daughter would become a university student this year but all his efforts seemed to be futile.

“Someone told me to send her UTME registration number. He checked on the university website and said she was not eligible. Not convinced, I went to the school myself to check and it was the same problem.

“I had to start making calls to other universities where she could secure admission and someone told me she they could be helped to gain admission into the Olabisi Onabanjo University with that score.

“As soon as the UTME result was released around May, I informed a friend of mine who lives within the estate, who is a lecturer at UNILAG. I took my daughter to him and he promised that when it was time for the post-UTME examination, he would help her out with the process.”

The friend Shola’s father mentioned is Dr. Akin Baruwa, a lecturer in the Department of Accounting, UNILAG, who is also a chairman of one of the community development committees of Abesan Estate.

Shola’s father explained that when she realised that her result was not being accepted as eligible for Mass Communication, he went back to Baruwa on July 22, 2015 and the lecturer told him to bring his daughter the following morning so he could take her to campus and see how he could help.

“He said they had to take off very early the following morning. I did not suspect anything unusual about that timing because I trusted him. By 4am, I roused my daughter. We prepared and I took her to Baruwa’s house. I did not opt to follow them because I trusted him. I did not imagine that anything untoward could happen,” he said.

Baruwa and Shola took off from Abesan about 5am. She would later return home by 11am. His daughter was noticeably moody as she came home. Two hours earlier, Baruwa had called the father and told him that he had done all he could but that it did not seem her admission would be possible.

“When he told me that, I believed he had done all he could and told my daughter to come back home,” he said.

But it was not the same Shola that came back home. She was moody and noticeably quiet. She went straight to her room and locked the door.

In company with child rights activist, Mrs. Esther Ogwu, whom the case was reported to by the family, PUNCH spoke with Shola in private to give details of what happened in Baruwa’s office that day.

It was obvious the girl was trying hard to stay composed. While she spoke, her right hand would go to her lower abdomen occasionally. When asked about it, she explained that she was still feeling some pain, which had reduced a lot since she got treatment.

Shola said on Thursday, July 23, 2015, as her father handed her over to the lecturer, she still did not suspect anything until they got to around Maryland.

“While I was inside the car, he started to touch my hair and rub my head. I was very surprised and I brushed off his hand. He never tried it again till we got to UNILAG,” Shola alleged.

According to her, while they were on the way, Baruwa was showing her different parts of town, telling her about places she did not know.

She alleged, “While we were on the way, he asked if I go out at all and I told him I don’t usually go out. And he would show me a place and say ‘This is Maryland o. You may not know since you don’t go out.’ Then he took me to the Yaba College of Technology. He drove inside and showed me the place. We later proceeded to UNILAG.

“When we got to his office, it was about 6.30am. The offices in the building were deserted. He said he liked to be early to avoid traffic. He told me to sit on the couch in his office.

I noticed he was restless. He would stand and go outside sometimes. He asked if I wanted anything, I told him I was fine. He put on the television; I told him I was okay. He put on the air conditioner and I told him I did not want that.

“He had already heated water and made Coffee, which he offered to me. I told him I was okay and really did not need that. He then put the hot Coffee on the table. Later, out of respect, I took the cup and sipped a little. I started to feel drowsy not long after that. I did not know why.”

According to Shola’s narration, Baruwa later took her to see a female official in another building who examined her documents and explained further that there was little that could be done on her admission.

Baruwa reportedly said she might have to opt for diploma.

Shola claimed that when they went back to his office, the lecturer kept her document on his table.

She said, “He kept standing and moving around the office. Later, he went outside and when he came back inside, he locked the door and kept the key on his table. I did not know what was happening.

“A moment later, he told me to pick up a paper for him beside the couch. As I bent down to pick up the paper, he pushed me into a corner of the couch and held me down as he forcibly removed my trousers and underwear.”

PUNCH asked at this point if Shola made any attempt to shout to alert anybody nearby.

She claimed that she actually screamed but that the way he held her down did not allow her voice to be as audible as she had wanted it to be.

Shola claimed, “If people were around the office, they would have heard me shout. He held me down, and pulled down my trousers and underwear. I screamed and begged him to leave me alone but he did not.

“After he had his way, he released me. As soon as I pulled up my trousers, I grabbed the keys to the door and rushed out while he was dressing up. He was walking behind me as I walked downstairs from his office. He said nothing as I walked away crying. He later went back.”

Shola’s father told our correspondent that he had been able to secure a place for her to write her post-UTME examination for an admission into OOU but the young girl has refused to go.

When Shola was asked why she refused to go, she said “How can I be sure that this same thing would not happen there? I don’t know anybody there. If it happens again, where would I run to?”

PUNCH tracked down Dr. Baruwa after speaking with Shola, he gave his version of the saga.

According to him, he indeed had a s*xual encounter with Shola but it was “consensual.”

The lecturer, who seemed to be in his early 40s, told PUNCH that he made the mistake of not doing enough to resist the temptation of ‘sleeping’ with Shola.

Speaking in the front of his house out of earshot of his wife and two children, Dr. Baruwa said, “I swear to God that the girl agreed to everything that happened. She was a chatty girl, who did not show any shyness.

“It is true that I took her to YABATECH and showed her places. What is not true is that I deliberately took off from home because of any plan to do anything bad to her. I took off from home that early to avoid traffic.

“When she was in my office, she was the one telling me to be free with her. I realised that I needed to lie down a little and did not want my shirt to be rumpled. When I pulled it off, she even told me not to mind her presence that since it was my office, I could do whatever I wanted.

“When we first got to the office, she lay on my chest and was even playing with my manhood. That was why I could not resist it. After we came back from seeing the woman who was supposed to help with her admission, she was about to go when I told her to give me a hug. It was that which now led to the actual s*xual encounter.

“When I realised that I could not resist her, I had to tell her to let me put on a condom. The truth is that, while I was putting on a condom, she stood by and waited. I did not actually penetrate. When she was saying ‘it’s enough, it’s enough’ and complaining that her tummy had started hurting her, I stopped.”

Baruwa explained that Shola’s father had sent a cryptic text message to him (days later when he learnt of what happened to his daughter), saying that he had learnt of what he did to his daughter.

“I know I betrayed his trust but nobody would understand it was consensual. I would have reached out to him to beg him if I think it would solve the problem,” he said.

When told that Shola went through more than a week of excruciating abdominal pain, Baruwa explained that if Shola left him the day of the encounter with any sign of hurt, he would have reached out to her to find out how she was doing.

Two days after PUNCH spoke with Baruwa, he was arrested by the police and the case is being investigated at the Isokoko Police Division, Agege, Lagos.

The case has been reported at the Office of the Public Defender under the Lagos State Ministry of Justice. The Director of the OPD, Mrs. Omotola Rotimi, said the case would be followed to its logical conclusion.

Dr. Baruwa was arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court, Lagos on Thursday.

Ladies, See The Rules To Be A Good Wife & Enjoy Marriage

Dear ladies, resorting to self-help as a way to control your husband in marriage is a recipe for disaster. Don't wait to experience the pains that come with trying to be 'too wise' in marriage. Be a good wife:

Brought to you by Aunty Florence
1). Never raise your voice to your husband. Its a sign of disrespect.
2). Don't expose your husband's weaknesses to your family and friends. You are each other's keeper.
3). Never use attitudes to communicate to your hubby, he may interpret them differently.
4). Never compare your husband to other men, you've no idea what is coming in the near future.
5). Never ill treat your husband's friends because you don't like them, the person who's supposed to get rid of them is your husband.
6). Never forget that your husband married you, not your maid or anyone else.
7). Never assign anyone to give attention to your husband, people may do everything else but your husband is your own responsibility.
8). Never blame your husband if he comes back home without money. Rather encourage him.
9). Never be a wasting wife, your husband's sweat is too precious to be wasted.
10). Never pretend to be sick for the purpose of denying your husband sex
11). Never compare your husband to your one time sex mate in the bedroom.
12). Let him handle what is directed to him although he may answer for you in public opinion polls.
13). Never shout or challenge your husband in front of children or visitors.
14). Don't forget to check the smartness of your husband before he checks out.
15). Never allow your friends to be too close to your husband.
16). Never be in a hurry in the bathroom and on the dressing table. On the streets your husband is always surrounded by women who took their time on their looks.
17). Your parents or family or friends do not have the final say in your marriage. Don't deceive yourself by looking up to them for a final word.
18). Never base your love solely on money. Plan with him, show sincerity and enjoy with him.
19). Don't forget that husbands want attention and good listeners, never be too busy for him.
20). If your idea worked better than his, never compare yourself to him. Its always teamwork.
21). Don't be too judgemental to your husband.
22). A lazy wife is a careless wife. She doesn't even know that her body needs a bath.
23). Does your husband like some special food? You are is wife, try to learn and cook such for him.
24). Never be too confrontational with your husband, enjoy every moment in peace.
25). Make a glass of water the very first welcome to your husband and everyone entering your home. Sweetness of attitude is true beauty for a real wife.
26). Don't associate with women who have a wrong mental attitude about marriage.
27). Your marriage is as valuable to you as the value that you give it. Recklessness is unacceptable.
28). Fruit of the womb is a blessing from the Lord, love your children and teach them sincerity.
29). You are never too busy to influence your home. Never reduce care for your hubby for any reason.
30). A prayerful wife is a better equipped wife, pray always for your husband and family

Presidency Removes The Man Incharge of Our Crude Oil Sales

Operation block all avenues and routes where Nigeria's crude oil money is escaping from has commenced.

The restructuring of NNPC has continued as the firm’s Group Managing Director, Dr. Emmanuel Kachikwu, on Friday redeployed the GGM, Crude Oil Marketing Division, Mr. Gbenga Komolafe.

According to NNPC, Komolafe is to now serve as the GGM, Special Duties. Know what that means?

Special Duties in government office simply means no duties, those who truly know government can tell.

The crude oil marketing division of the NNPC has been criticised by industry observers as one of the most corrupt arms of the corporation.

On Tuesday, the New York-based Natural Resources Governance Initiative canvassed the need to overhaul the management of the country’s oil sales by the NNPC.

It also advised President Muhammadu Buhari to clean up the system to stem waste and loss of billions of dollars in revenue.

The watchdog said in one of its latest reports that the NNPC’s approach to oil sales was suffering from high corruption risks, which it described as responsible for Nigeria’s failure to maximise returns.

The authors of the NRGI report, led by Aaron Sayne, said, “We find that the management of NNPC’s oil sales has worsened in recent years, and particularly since 2010. The largest problems stem from the rising number of ad hoc, makeshift practices the corporation has introduced to work around its deeper structural problems.”

The NRGI stated in the 73-page report, “Nigeria is the only major, stable world oil producer that sells crude mostly to traders rather than end-users. The NNPC enters into term contracts with unqualified intermediaries that capture margins for themselves and create reputational risks for legitimate market players, while adding little or no value to deals.”

NNPC receives about one million barrels of oil per day, half of the country’s total production, part of which is sold to its subsidiary and traders, without any clear monitoring tactics.

Nigeria needs trillions of naira to have steady power – Prof.Onuoha

The Associate Head of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company, Professor Igwe Onuoha said it will take the nation trillions of naira in order to get the required megawatts that will give every Nigerian uninterrupted power supply.

He said that there is a very wide gap between “our capacity at the moment and what Nigerians actually need. There are distinctively specific things that Nigerians need to put in place in other to increase the generation but it is an expensive venture for a nation of 160 million people”.

He said this at the event for Engineering students of the University of Benin (UNIBEN), during a seminary organized by SciEtech University Outreach.

According to him
“We are a country of over 160 million people; our grid is testing to sustain 5000 megawatts. 5000 megawatts means that you have 5 million watts of energy in the grid.
“If we are a 100 million, it means that every 100 people in Nigeria will have only one lamp. So if you have 5000 megawatts in the grid you can only support 100 people having only one lamp. If you want 100 people to have each a lamp, you multiply 5000 by 100 it gives you 500, 000 megawatts.
“On the average, one million dollars will give you one megawatt so if you want 100 megawatts you need 100 million dollars. The exponential multiplication means that you need far large amount of money to be able to generate power to make sure that every Nigerian has a lamp. We will be able to reach that point when we are able to get all the money to make that level of investment.
“But there are several sectors in our economy begging for commitment, so if we are going to close other sectors of the economy and concentrate on power, it means that you are going to have enough money to generate enough power for 160 million people”he stated.

Florida man kills 2 neighbours, shoots the 3rd one over a long standing beef

Woodward in Camo sneaking up to shoot his neighbours
In a chilling police interrogation, Billy Woodward described the moment he sneaked across his front lawn wearing camouflage and shot three neighbors he had been feuding with in Titusville, Florida.
“I kept low crawling. I was on a military mission. I was going to end this war,” Woodward is heard telling Titusville police after the shooting on an interrogation tape.
Woodward is in a county jail, facing first degree murder and attempted murder charges for shooting and killing his neighbor Gary Hembree and Roger Picior, who had been living temporarily with Hembree, in summer 2012. Woodward shot a third neighbor, Tim Blake, who survived.

For months, Woodward and his family had been feuding with Hembree and Picior, who lived across the street, and Blake’s family. The dispute began when Woodward and his family accused Hembree’s daughter of stealing a birthday present left for Woodward’s daughter, which Hembree denied. Blake and his family took Hembree’s side.

The conflict continued to escalate with police being called during several incidents and each side attempting to get protection orders against the other side. By Labor Day weekend in 2012, the last straw came when Woodward told police he left his home with a gun to spy on his neighbors.
Woodward, who was captured on his own surveillance camera video, walked across the street and approached Picior, who was wrestling his visiting teenage son on the lawn.
Blake
“Roger’s son jumped off his back when he saw me, and I shot Roger in the torso,” Woodward recalled to police during his interrogation. “He slumped to the ground.”
Woodward told police he then turned his gun on Blake who was standing in his carport and shot him until he fell to the ground.

“He shoots me about, I don’t know, five or six times,” Blake, who also goes by the name Bruce said” “He was smiling.” But 11 bullets hit Blake.
“I just kept getting shot everywhere and then I was like, ‘Damn, I’m already dead. I just ain’t had time to die yet,’” said Blake.

Woodward told police he then reloaded his gun with 15 more rounds and shot at Hembree, who was walking out his front door with his girlfriend Kim Sillsbury to see what was happening.

“I had a clean shot at his chest, and I put one dead center of his chest. He slumped to the ground,” Woodward said during his interrogation. “I shot Gary Hembree twice in the head, if I remember correctly. You’ll have to count the bullet holes when you guys go do the autopsy.”
“He came back, and I watched his feet walk up very slowly. And he emptied the rest of the clip out in my boyfriend,” Sillsbury said.”
The homes of the deceased
At some point, Woodward returned to Picior and shot him twice in the head as Picior’s son watched.
“In order to make sure there’s no survivors on the battlefield, I point-blank shot Picior in the head once or twice,” Woodward said during his interrogation.
Tim Blake, who said he is “surprised” to be alive, survived for one reason:
“I did not go back and finish the job for Bruce Blake because I was out of bullets,” Woodward said during his interrogation. “I ran dry on three people.”

With his two neighbors dead and another badly injured, Woodward told police he didn’t think he should go to jail for the shooting (he does not mention self defense during the initial interviews with police).

Later Woodward says the shootings were in self defense, and invoked Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” law. A hearing was held this spring to determine whether Woodward is immune from prosecution under the law. A judge ruled he was not.

The first degree murder and attempted murder charges against Woodward are moving forward, and a hearing in the case is scheduled for next week. A trial may come late this year.
