Michael Jackson doctor shares hand-rolled 'cigarette' with MJ's son
"The doctor - Alex Farshchian -- had a complicated relationship with Michael. According to a letter he wrote to Michael -- seized by the Santa Barbara Sheriff's Dept. in MJ's molestation trial -- the doctor was trying to get Michael off Demerol and onto a synthetic, less addictive substitute for the drug. That's why the photos are so interesting ... the doctor who was treating Michael Jackson in the throes of his Demerol addiction was smoking something with MJ's 18-year-old son. Dr. Farshchian tells TMZ they were smoking tobacco on the yacht in Miami. It's odd that a tobacco cigarette was passed around to at least three people." TMZ reports
3 die as thugs loyal to monarchs clash in Ogun State
3 people were killed during a clash between hoodlums reportedly loyal
to 2 rival monarchs in the Ijoko, Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun
State.
The two monarchs, Oba Abdulfatahi Matanmi and Oba Lasisi Ogunseye, had
been at loggerheads for years over who had sovereignty over the
community, with both sides attacking each other.

It was learnt that the community was thrown into turmoil around 3pm on
Wednesday by the thugs, who reportedly wielded guns, cutlasses among
other weapons.

Policemen from Sango-Ota Police Division were said to have intervened and restored peace in the area.
It was learnt that 2 tricyclists were injured in the fracas which lasted for about two hours.
One of them, Tajudeen Adeleye, who was admitted in a hospital in the
community, said he had taken some passengers to the Railway area ─ the
scene of the clash ─ around 6pm when he was attacked.
He said
“I shuttle between Abule and Ijoko-Ogba Ayo. I decided to go on a last trip around 6pm. I was trying to park at our bus stop in Railway bus stop when I was attacked.”
When Punch correspondent visited the community on Thursday, they
observed that residents were still living in fear, as most of them
declined to comment on the mayhem.
Armed policemen were also seen patrolling the neigbourhood.
An eyewitness, who identified himself only as Rasaq, said the clash was
fuelled by supremacy claim as the thugs belonged to rival cult groups.
He said:
“The rate at which Matanmi and Ayatu’s (Ogunseye’s) boys attack one another is very disturbing. On Monday, I saw them hanging around and I sensed that they wanted to cause trouble again. They started around 3pm and three persons were killed, but I don’t know their identities.”
Another eyewitness, Segun Ogunleke, said he saw 2 lifeless bodies on the ground while he was running to safety.
“There was confusion everywhere because of gunshots. I saw two corpses on the ground. They were taken away by the police,” he said.
When contacted, the monarch, Matanmi, directed inquiries and
questions to the other Monarch, saying he had nothing to say about the
killings.
He told Punch correspondent:
“Go and meet Ogunseye and his son who are attacking and killing people at Ijoko. I have nothing to say.”
Oba Ogunseye’s son, Mohammed, who spoke on behalf of his father, said
the attack was between Eiye and Aiye confraternities, adding that it had
nothing to do with the kingship tussle.
“For about 3 months now, the battle between two cult groups has been on.
They have been killing one another and that was what happened yesterday
(Wednesday) too. It was not an attack between us and Matanmi,” he said.
The Police Public Relations Officer in Ogun State, DSP Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the clash.
He said:
“There was a clash between two groups, but we cannot link it to kingship rivalry. Policemen have been deployed in the area and investigation has commenced on the attack. One person was hacked to death and his corpse has been deposited in a mortuary.”

Anambra police arrest over 40 students for kidnapping and cult activities
40 suspects accused of involvement in criminal activities, including
cultism, kidnapping, car snatching and vandalism, were paraded on
Wednesday by the Anambra State Police Command.
Parading the suspects, the Commissioner of Police, Hosea Karma, said the cultists, aged between 14 and 16 years, were students of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, and the Federal Polytechnic, Oko.
Karma told newsmen that the boys, arrested at Obosi, were members of the Black Axe and Vikings, among other cult groups, insisting that the criminals found the town a safe haven to operate because of the recurring land crisis in the community.
Meanwhile, 48 youths from Obosi, who were brought to the police station during the parade, renounced membership of their various cult groups.
They were brought in 5 buses by the Obosi President General, Dan Igbokwubile. They also pledged to assist the community, the police and the state in fighting crimes. Karma disclosed that the suspects snatched 3 cars, while one of them was behind the kidnap of the personal assistant to the former commissioner for works in the state.
The police chief, who disclosed that “the other suspects specialised in vandalising communication masts and electricity cables,” commended Governor Willie Obiano for his support to the security agencies, also thanked the public for their cooperation, especially with useful information.
He listed some of the items recovered as locally-made shot pistols, cutlasses, axes, black and red candles (reportedly used for rituals), drums for their music, a lot of Indian hemp and handsets, among others.
Meanwhile, Karma said the police were now more determined to flush out criminals from their hideouts in order to maintain the existing peaceful environment in the state.
He urged students and young people to face their studies instead of resorting to crime, which does not pay, warning that the long arm of law would always catch them.
Stressing the collective need for government, communities and leaders to rid the state of all undesirable elements, he enjoined parents to monitor the activities of their children.

Bigamist and his 'first' wife charged in death of his pregnant wife
A bigamist and one of his wives have
been charged on Thursday with the murder of his other wife, who was
nine months pregnant with his child.
The pair, Christopher Matthew
Henderson, 40 and Rhonda Carlson, 42, of New Market, Alabama, have also
been charged in connection with the murder of three other people.
Kristen Chambers Henderson, 35, was found dead along with her son, Clayton Chambers, 8, her mother, Jean Smallwood, 67, and Kristen's nephew, Eli Sokolowski, who was one-year-old.
She had then petitioned the court to withdraw the divorce based on the fact that her husband was still married to his first wife and their marriage wouldn't be legal.
Capt. Jernigan did not say how the four people died. He said the investigation is still unfolding as autopsies are being performed on the victims.
Kristen Chambers Henderson, 35, was found dead along with her son, Clayton Chambers, 8, her mother, Jean Smallwood, 67, and Kristen's nephew, Eli Sokolowski, who was one-year-old.
In the eyes of the law, the unborn
child of Kristen Chambers Henderson, one of four bodies pulled from a
fatal fire, will count as another life as her husband and his other wife face capital murder charges.
“In any case, if someone kills a woman, and she is pregnant, then that is killing two people,” explained Bob Becher, chief trial attorney with the Madison County District Attorney’s Office.
That alone qualifies for capital murder charges. The change came with Brody’s Law in 2006, which came about after a pregnant Marshall County woman was shot to death.
“Since 2006, an unborn child, regardless of stage, is considered a person with regard to homicides,” said Becher.
So whether a woman is in her first or final month of pregnancy, the law could count that unborn child as additional life taken.
Police Capt. Dave Jernigan said Kristen Chambers had a hearing in court last week on a protection from abuse order she had filed against Christopher Henderson. During that court hearing, it was determined he was also married to Rhonda Carlson.

The state fire marshal and county fire marshal are trying to pinpoint where the fire started.
The home belongs to her parents.
Marriage records show Carlson and Henderson were married on February 15, 2013. Henderson and Kristen Chambers were married September 26, 2014. She filed for divorce in June of this year.
Kristen Henderson lived in the home on St. Clair Lane with her parents, as well as Clayton, her son.
Christopher Henderson and Rhonda Carlson are now in the Huntsville/Madison County Jail, being held without bond.

Bounty hunters mistakenly target sheriff's home
A group of bounty hunters searching for a wanted fugitive only realized
they picked the wrong house Tuesday, when the angry local police chief
emerged, shirtless.
NorthStar Fugitive Recovery owner Brent Farley, 43, was charged with
criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct after his group and another
contingent of bounty hunters mistakenly targeted the home of Phoenix
police chief Joseph Yahner.
NorthStar and Delta One Tactical Recovery allegedly besieged the house
with 11 bounty hunters after receiving a tip on social media pointing
them toward a fugitive. After watching the house for two hours, the
teams flipped on their headlights, shined flashlights inside the house
and began banging on the door, police said. One of the men had his
weapon unholstered, according to cops.
A video of the encounter viewed by the Arizona Republic allegedly shows
someone yelling, “Roderick, open the door” before getting into a verbal
argument with Yahner. After Yahner emerged, a “heated confrontation”
ensued, according to Sgt. Trent Crump.
“After awakening [Yahner] from a dead sleep, he comes out in protection
mode,” Crump said. “And when he does come out and he challenges them, I
think they quickly come to realize [the mistake], with the exception of
one of them.”
Farley would not leave the property and continued to give orders to Yahner, Crump said.
