Indecent Dressing: The Cause and The Effect

Indecent dressing is a social malady in the society today especially by the youths. This term simply means the deliberate exposure of one’s body to the public, towards whatever selfish end.

This practice does not conform to the norms and values of our society. This practice is now so common in public places like churches and offices. Indecent dressing is caused by common phrases which are the problems of our generation like:
“Only God can judge me, you can’t”; “Leave them alone”; “Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion”; “Mind your business”.

These shameless phrases have become so common in our society that one can’t condemn any wrong doings again because the rewards are usually malice, hatred and condemnation from ignorant people.

Indecent dressing is the major cause of the various assault and s*xual harassments recorded in the society, overtime. In the name of fashion, some ladies dress half n*ked to functions with miniskirts, bumper shorts, armless and very revealing tops, etc.

Guys have been subject to arrests along with hooligans because of this ill. Boys nowadays fix hairs, pierce ears making them look like hardened criminals, so one can't really blame police for arresting them.

But it could be checked in our society. Parents should act as role models to their children, churches should promote the culture of decent dressing, dress codes should be introduced in places that need them, the mass media should do more to promote decency in dressing among youths, etc.

Saraki Runs To Emir To Help Beg President Buhari

Things are not easy anymore, in fact Bukola Saraki is beginning to see that his decision to go against the APC to emerge as Senate President with a PDP man as deputy senate president in an APC government is one act of desperation that will cost him a lot, OluFamous.Com gathered.

The signs of danger ahead is now clear to Saraki. In his efforts to make peace with the Presidency before things get out of hand, plus his unacceptable composition of the senate leadership, Saraki, has resorted to seeking the assistance of emirs and traditional rulers to help him beg President Muhammadu Buhari.

In realising this objective, the senate president, has sought the help of the Emir of his home town, Ilorin, Kwara State, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, an aide of the emir told Punch.

President Buhari, since the inauguration of the 8th Senate on June 9, has been shunning Saraki whose emergence and that of his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu of the PDP, did not go down well with the leadership of the APC and the Presidency.

According to the emir’s aide who spoke on condition of anonymity, the senate president has requested some prominent traditional rulers in the state led by Sulu-Gambari, who is also the Chairman, Kwara State Council of Traditional Rulers to intercede on his behalf with Buhari.

It was gathered that the monarchs had wanted to meet with Buhari but could not as a result of the President’s visit to the United States and his recent visit to Cameroon to seek for regional collaboration against Boko Haram.

In fact, this would not be the first time the emir had interceded on behalf of Saraki concerning the senate presidency.

According to him, the Emir of Ilorin before the emergence of Saraki as the Senate President had sent a team of emissaries to the National Leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, with a view to getting the former Lagos State governor soften on his stand against Saraki’s ambition to occupy the exalted position.

He said Saraki is now more worried with the resolution of the leadership tussle in the House of Representatives, where the Speaker, Alhaji Yakubu Dogora, after meetings with Buhari and other APC stakeholders acceded to the party’s decision and announced the APC's choice, Femi Gbajabiamila, as the House Leader.

It is obvious that Buhari is angry at Saraki for his total disregard for the party he joined after people like Tinubu had built the party from nothing to something. Now with the police report that shows the rules used to elect Saraki and Ekweremadu was forged, Bukola Saraki is in more trouble than he had expected.

Snoop Dogg stopped in Italy for carrying too much cash

This his European tour keeps causing him problems. First he was arrested for DUI in Sweden now this.
Snoop Dogg found himself in trouble with Italian Customs agents because he was carrying too much money when he entered the country.

You know how they ask you to declare money you have in your possession if it's over $10k? Well Snoop was stopped at an Italian airport with approximately $422,000 in cash in his Louis Vuitton luggage, said an Italian lawyer representing him.

Half of the money was impounded by Italian customs, the other half will be given to him after they determine how fines he will pay.

"We clarified everything from a legal point of view. The money came from concerts he had performed around Europe. There was no crime; it was just an administrative infraction," Parisi, his Italian lawyer said.

Hopefully this tour gets better for him and he returns home to the US without anymore incident
