Never-before-seen pictures capture the lives of Peruvian nomads who are untouched by civilization

Never-before-seen photos have emerged of one of the last the last uncontacted Amazon tribes who the Peru government is trying to approach after they shot and killed two men in the chest with a bow and arrow.
For 600 years the Mashco Piro clan – also known as Cujareno people – have lived in the forest in Peru close to the border with Brazil and had no contact with the outside world.

But recently – threatened by 21st century logging, drugs cartels and tourism  – the rarely seen indigenous tribe have broken cover from the forest to raid villages for food, tools and weapons to hunt.

In May, Leonardo Perez, 20, was killed when he was shot with an arrow by tribe members who wanted his tools.
In 2011 local guide Shaco Flores (pictured above), a Matsigenka Indian, was murdered by the tribe.
Shaco had given them machetes, pots and pans for 20 years and had developed a good relationship with the clan.
But it is believed he was killed with an arrow to the heart after he tried to persuade them to settle and end to their nomadic hunter-gatherer life.
‘The Mashco Piro have been present in this area for as long as anyone can remember, and have in a way been enticed out of their forest home onto the riverbanks by missionaries and other missionised indigenous people,’ Rebecca Spooner for campaign group International Survival told MailOnline.
‘They have been given pots and land and machetes, and are now asking for more.’
The increasing contact between the Mashco Piro people and other indigenous communities is slowly peeling back the layers of secrecy that have shielded them from modern society.
Members of the tribe have been spotted a record 100 times already this year, Peru's deputy culture minister Patricia Balbuena said.
While others have even left the forest and now live among the neighbouring Yine Indians, who speak a similar language.

Toke Makinwa's Husband Apologises To Her For Impregnating Another Woman

Love drama! This matter would have been settled by now and the husband and wife living in peace and love in their home if not for Toke Makinwa who allowed her friends expose it to the media. But her husband has decided to do the honourable thing by apologizing to her publicly for his action.
I am writing to express my sincerest apologies to my wife [Toke Makinwa]. I was wrong, it is indefensible and I am sorry.

I deeply regret what my wife and my family has had to endure. My behaviour has caused a lot of anguish to everyone. Though this matter has been very public in nature, it is a private issue and I would appreciate the opportunity to face it privately.

I love my wife and will make every effort to make things right.

Buhari will not probe Obasanjo, IBB, Abacha's govt, only GEJ's - Presidency

The presidency says President Buhari will only be probing the immediate past administration and will not probe past administrations of Obasanjo, Ibrahim Babangida, Sani Abacha and others. Speaking to newsmen, the special adviser to the president on Media and publicity, Femi Adesina says that President Buhari had stated during his campaign that his probe will only be limited to the immediate past administration

"If you recall, that was already settled before he got inaugurated as president. He has said he will not waste time digging into the far past. The far past will includes Obasanjo and others. But the president has said he will not waste time to go that far.”he said
Former President Jonathan had stated before leaving office that any probe focused on his administration will only amount to witch-hunting.

CBN Governor Emefiele Runs Back to Nigeria after Buhari Lambasted Him Openly

The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, has hurriedly abandoned his role in the delegation of President Muhammad Buhari in the US following a public admonishing he got.

A Presidency source told SR that Mr. Emefiele asked to see President Buhari and then requested to leave for an “important” meeting in London. The President is said to have granted the request.

On Monday, the president had warned his aides against smuggling Nigerian businessmen into meetings during his visit. But Emefiele disobeyed that order.
And later that evening, Buhari openly lambasted the CBN governor for smuggling the former Managing Director of Zenith bank, Jim Ovia, into a dinner organized by the US Chamber of Commerce.

Presidency sources said the CBN governor’s request to leave Washington DC came as a surprise, as he had not previously informed President Buhari of any other meeting he had to attend, especially one that would deprive the President of a prominent member of his delegation.

It is unclear as of the time of publishing this report if Jim Ovia, who was the beneficiary of Mr. Emefiele’s efforts, has also left the United States out of embarrassment.
