Jonathan Secretly Using Anyaoku To Beg President Buhari

A panic-stricken Goodluck Jonathan has sent former Commonwealth Secretary General, Emeka Anyaoku, to plead with President Muhammadu Buhari not to launch an official probe of his administration.

Several sources in Abuja, including aides of President Buhari, briefed SR exclusively about former President Jonathan’s dispatch of Mr. Anyaoku as an emissary to his successor to beg.

One of the sources said Jonathan moved quickly to send powerful intercessors to the Presidency after Buhari administration began to question massive last-minute withdrawals and disappearance of more than $20b orchestrated by former President Jonathan as well as his closest ministers and aides.

Sahara Reporters source familiar with Mr. Anyaoku’s desperate mission to President Buhari revealed that the former Commonwealth chief executive urged the President to remember that Jonathan voluntarily decided not to contest the results of the March 28, 2015 presidential election, won by Buhari, on the understanding that he and his administration would not be subjected to a probe.

Our sources disclosed that Mr. Anyaoku spent a little more than two hours in a close-door meeting where he sought to prevail on President Buhari on Wednesday to halt the ongoing probe of what happened to billions of public funds during the last few months of the Jonathan government.

Before imploring Mr. Anyaoku to plead with President Buhari, Jonathan had also asked former military head of state, Abdulsalam Abubakar, to speak to the President and suggest a suspension of all ongoing probes.

Buhari has put in place investigative committees to probe the illicit withdrawal and disbursement of public funds by the Jonathan administration. The committees are charged with advising the administration on strategies for retrieving money stolen by officials and cohorts of the Jonathan Presidency.

One of the committees has already discovered that Jonathan and some members of his cabinet apparently colluded in the dying days of the previous government to loot billions of dollars. The funds were looted via the Central Bank of Nigeria, the NNPC, the Ministry of Finance, the Nigerian Maritime Authority, the Federal Capital Territory, and several other departments.

In an attempt to curry favor with the new government, Mrs. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala recently directed officials of her polling agency, NOI Polls, to give President Buhari a 70% approval rating among Nigerians. “The polling results were simply cooked up,” a professional pollster told SR. Prior to the 2015 general elections, the former minister’s fake polling organization kept repeating that Jonathan approval rating was up even as his political fortune plummeted.

SR also learned that former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke, is cooperating with the Buhari administration. As earlier revealed, Mrs. Alison-Madueke had struck a deal with the new government to submit a document to the EFCC exposing her collaborators at the NNPC.

Former President Jonathan is currently in Abuja where he remains in constant touch with Abdulsalam and other political players to prevail on President Buhari to halt the probe of his administration.

One source at the Presidency revealed that Buhari was not receptive to Anyaoku’s pleas. According to the source, the President Anyaoku that the massive theft of funds by officials of the previous administration had robbed Nigeria of funds to serve the masses.

The source added: “The president’s concern is for everybody who stole funds, including the former president, to disclose their willingness to return their loot to the Nigerian people.”

'Trans people deserve something vital: they deserve your respect'- Caitlyn Jenner

Despite the protests and petitions not to give Caitlyn Jenner the ASHE award, she went ahead and received it.
The 65-year-old honoree made her first major public appearance at the awards show since announcing her transitioning to a woman during an April tell-all interview with Diane Sawyer.
Caitlyn got tearful toward the end of her acceptance speech as she thanked her family, including mother, sister and 10 adult children in the audience. Caitlyn, 65, initially planned to appear on stage with all 10 of her children and stepchildren, including the Kardashian sisters, but they instead showed their support from the audience.
She got a standing ovation when she walked to receive her award.
"Wow, I have to talk after that? Thank you so much. It is so wonderful to be here tonight. The last few months have been a whirlwind of so many different experiences and emotions. But to tell you the truth, it seems like every time I turn around in life, I'm putting myself in these high-pressure situations—competing in the games, raising a family, but I've never felt more pressure than I have in my life than I have in the last couple of months. Picking out this outfit—OK girls, I get it," she said, which drew laughter from the crowd.
Caitlyn got tearful toward the end of her 25-minute acceptance speech in which she gave a heartfelt appeal on behalf of trans youth.
'Trans people deserve something vital,' she said. 'They deserve your respect.'

It did not take long for cynical tweets to appear questioning why she had been chosen for the award above other potential honorees.

REVEALED: Okonjo-Iweala Took $1bn for Jonathan’s Election

Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole has revealed that the ex-Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala of illegally taking $1billion from the federation account to prosecute the failed re-election bid of former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Speaking in the state capital, Oshiomhole said the former Minister also needs to say how the Excess Crude Account was drawn down to $4.1 billion from the peak of $10billion when no approval was given by the National Economic Council for any withdrawals.

The Governor who said Okonjo-Iweala would have been declared a pathological liar if she were a witness in court due to the inconsistencies in her statements, added that a forensic audit would truly determine how much was illegally spent from the federation account under her watch.

He said government would now hold Permanent Secretaries, Directors and Deputy Directors responsible for any fraud detected in departments saying he has trimmed down the cost of running government.

He said: “the truth is, many things went wrong even at the federal level. As you might have read in the papers, while the federal government, under Goodluck Jonathan, with the then Coordinating Minister of the Economy liked to blame “Governors” for wasteful spending, for not saving for the rainy day, for not investing properly, the truth is the real weakness in the Nigerian federal chain has been the Federal Government.

“Our hope is that with the new President, given his pedigree we will break from the past.

“As I’m sure you will soon begin to hear when all the numbers are published, last week, I complained aloud that Edo State lost about N10 billion over a four year period from only one source the NLNG remittance to the federation account.

“How did I arrive at the figure? I used my 4-Figure Table and I asked myself at $2.1 billion remitted by NLNG as taxes and Shell, and by the way, Shell is not the only oil operative, we have Chevron and several others. They shared the $2.1 billion based on the revenue allocation formula, Edo State got about N2.27 billion. So I said, thank God this money came after the departure of Okonjo-Iweala and President Jonathan. If the PDP were still in charge in Abuja, this money would have been taken."
