Boko Haram Prisoners Have Been Moved Out of South East

The Governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi, on Thursday explained why the planned protest by traders against the relocation of some Boko Haram suspects to Anambra State did not hold in the state.

He told journalists during an inspection tour of projects in Abakaliki that since the suspects had already been taken to Abuja, the protest was unnecessary.
He said, “The traders have the right to protest but there was no need for the protest because we (South-East governors) had enjoined the Federal Government not to relocate any Boko Haram prisoner to any prison in the South-East. Those suspects brought to Anambra State have been taken back to Abuja.
“The state decided against the protest for the reason that the governors of the region had intimated the Presidency on their opinion on the matter, and so no need for anyone to encourage people of the state to take to the streets.”

It was gathered that the planned protest by the traders was expected to take place simultaneously across the five states of the South-East.

The traders in Abakaliki, according to sources, were expected to convene at the Abakpa main market at 8am. They were to march round the state capital before converging at the Government House gate where Umahi was also expected to address them.

It was observed that riot mobile policemen had taken over the market to prevent the traders from embarking on the protest and to avert possible breakdown of law and order in the state.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, Chris Anyanwu, said that the command had to beef up security on major roads and locations of the state to avert any possible breakdown of law and order.

Meanwhile, the Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Mr. John Lebo, on Thursday said the state would resist any attempt to send Boko Haram suspects to prison facilities in the state.

No one wants to entertain Boko boys in their state.

You Mean I’m Now A Prisoner? – Ex-Governor Lamido Cries

Former Jigawa governor, Sule Lamido, his sons Aminu and Mustapha and one Aminu Wada Abubakar are to remain in Kano Central Prison till September 28, 2015.

The quartet were remanded in prison custody on Thursday by Justice Evelyn Anyadike of the Federal High Court sitting in Kano after they were docked on a 28-count charge of corruption and money laundering brought against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

After the judge’s pronouncement, a mild drama ensued between Lamido and the Deputy Chief Registrar of Federal High court, Barrister Solomon Akpedah.

Lamido was asked to proceed to board the waiting van taking him to Kano central prison when he exclaimed, “you mean I’m now a prisoner?!”

They were arraigned alongside four companies where the Lamidos are believed to have interest.
The companies are Bamaina Holdings Limited, Bamiana Company Nigeria Limited, Bamaina Aluminum Limited and Speeds International Limited.

Lamido is said to have abused his position as governor of Jigawa State between 2007 and 2015, by awarding contracts to companies where he has interest, using his two sons, Aminu and Mustapha as front.

Justice Anyadike consequently remanded the accused persons in prison custody pending consideration of their bail application and adjourned to September 28, 2015.

The arraignment of Lamido and his children was not without incident as an unruly crowd of supporters loyal to the former governor threatened to disrupt the court session. It took reinforcement of the detachment of policemen at the court to maintain order.

The travails of the Lamidos began in 2012 when one of his sons, Aminu was arrested by Operatives of the EFCC at the Aminu Kano Airport, Kano, for failing to declare a sum of $40,000.

He was prosecuted and convicted with 50 percent of the undeclared sum forfeited to the Federal Government.

Inquiries into the source of the funds led investigators into the closely guarded web of corruption and money laundering involving members of the former first family of Jigawa State and their cronies.

PHOTOS: Governor El-Rufai's Son Shows Off Wealth

Since his father became governor of Kaduna State, Bashire El-Rufai has been on the radar for his expensive lifestyle. He flaunts cash and live large wherever he goes. Check out more photos...

If he is spending his father's legitimate cash and not Kaduna State's money, then he should be left alone.

Popular Billionaire Goddy Anabor goes broke, now a Taxi Driver

When you tell some small girls who have not seen real money before that it has wings and can fly if not well managed, they will call you a stingy man. But it's only an ignorant man that should allow a woman push him into spending recklessly. For a billionaire to go broke, those your few millions are small.

YES Magazine has revealed a shocking story. Lagos socialite and publisher of the defunct Hearts Magazine, Chief Goddy Anabor, is now a Kabukabu driver! And this is authoritative.

YES Magazine gathered exclusively that the erstwhile billionaire whose name and titles the likes of Sir Shina Peters, Oliver de Coque and so many other musicians documented lavishly in some of their albums now engages in the business to keep body and soul together, and after falling on bad times.

Operating incognito, Anabor uses a Toyota Camry (tiny light) for this and usually resumes his activities around 1 am when fewer eyes will be on him...

His take off point is the popular Allen Avenue in Ikeja, Lagos. Some of those who used to know him in his hey days are so sad and shocked by the way he ended up. They blamed bad marriage and drugs for his down fall

A native of Fugar in Edo State, Anabor, when the going was good, was residing inside Moshood Abiola Crescent, off Toyin Street, in Ikeja, Lagos. He also had a guest house in Ikeja GRA (on Joel Ogunnaike to be specific). As a matter of fact, the guest house today houses a nude club – The Cave, owned by Shina Edo. He sold them all at the peak of his crisis. Likewise his gigantic hotel in Edo State and all his exotic automobiles, including a Rolls Royce.

Currently a regular face at a popular bar on Allen Avenue, the businessman who used to have a white man that worked for him as his Personal Assistant drinks 33 Larger Beer whenever he comes around. Unlike in the days of old when it was some of the most expensive drinks. A shadow of his old self, he practically begs now and depends on his Kabukabu to survive.

Dear men, free yourself from ladies influence, many are just wasters. Don't wait until you experience it.

After Ohakim, Lamido, EFCC Moves To Arrest Ex- Abia Gov. T. Orji

There are strong indications that the Economic and Finacial crimes Commision(EFCC) has moved to invite the Former Governor of Abia State and Senator representing Abia Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly Chief Theodore Orji over embezzlement of public funds meant for the development in the State.
A close source within the Headquaters of the Anti-graft body told PUO REPORTS that the commision had received not fewer than 12 Petitions against the former governor, praying it to investiagte how Sen.T A Orji managed the affairs of Abia State from MAY 29 2007 till MAY 29th 2015 when he piloted the affairs of the state.
Another issue raised by the petitioners included how the Son of the former Governor, who is now a member Representing Umuahai Central in the State Assembly Hon.Chinedum Eyninnaya Orji managed the sum of 67 Billion Naira, which he was alleged to have collected via frivolous contracts,he was reported to have awarded to himself during the reign of his father as Abia State Governor.Recalled that there had been several allegation of finacial misappropriation and Embezzlement levelled against the former Governor during his days as Abia State Governor, but efforts to get him proved abortive due the immunity he constitutionally enjoyed as a governor.
It will be recalled that Chief Theodore Orji won the Abia Central Senatorial seat in a controversial circumstances, which his close rival Barr. Ahamdi Nweke is challenging at the Tribunal, because the former Governor, now Senator lost at his own Polling unit during the March 28th Presidential and National Assembly elections, but was declared winner in a shocking manner.
PUO REPORTS was unable to verify the particular date the EFCC will extend its letter of invitation, which has being already compiled.
President Mohammadu Buhari had during his inaugural speech maintained that no corrupt politician will go unpunished under his watch as President of Nigeria.

Buhari rejects N400m armoured cars

President Muhammadu Buhari has turned down an offer by the Federal Government to buy 5 new armoured Mercedes Benz S-600 (V222) cars for his use. The cars which cost is about N400m were planned to be purchased by the State House.

A source close to the presidency told journalists on Thursday that Buhari found out about the plan when the Permanent Secretary, State House, Mr. Nebolisa Emodi, briefed him of his ministry’s activities on Wednesday.

Angry at the revelation, the President was said to have told Emodi that the purchase was unnecessary. Describing it as a waste of scarce resources, the source said Buhari told the permanent secretary that the cars he inherited from former President Goodluck Jonathan were good enough for him.
“I don’t need any new cars. The ones I am using now are just fine,” the source quoted the President as saying.
Top government officials, however, said Buhari welcomed other initiatives presented by the permanent secretary to reduce the operating costs of the State House and strengthen its Finance and Accounts Internal Control Mechanisms.

However he directed that more efforts be made towards the capture of all State House expenses within the approved national budget, in order to avoid the frequent recourse by past administrations to “Presidential intervention funds.”

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, confirmed that Buhari had withheld approval for the purchase of the new cars. Shehu said the President would continue to use the cars left behind by Jonathan in keeping with his commitment to prudent management of national resources.

Buhari reportedly moves to pacify Tinubu - Ex-Governor to get more Ministerial nominees

This is according to a report by Tribune. They claim that president Buhari is considering giving former Lagos State governor Bola Tinubu more ministerial slots as a way of pacifying the national leader of the APC who is said to be very angry about the goings on in the party...especially the national Assembly crisis.
"Sources close to the APC confirmed to the Nigerian Tribune that the presidency had discovered lately that Tinubu was angry and had been putting some measures in place to pacify the national leader of APC.
Tinubu’s camp was said to have been angered by Buhari’s failure to back its strategies that would have ensured the emergence of candidates of the party for the positions of Senate president and Speaker of the House of Representatives.
It was learnt that Tinubu was particularly angry that Buhari did not make good his promise to address APC legislators at the International Conference Centre on June 9, leading to the emergence of Senator Bukola Saraki as Senate president.
It was also gathered that Tinubu’s loyalists fingered Buhari’s men in the uprising that shut out the former Lagos governor from the last National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the party, held in Abuja, last week.
Though Tinubu is not a member of NEC statutorily, no one really made an issue out of that until Buhari assumed office.
Some Tinubu loyalists said they suspected the presidency might have given tactical backing to the group of former governors, who threatened to storm the meeting if Tinubu was allowed at the venue.
It was, however, gathered on Thursday in Abuja that Buhari had resolved to pacify Tinubu, so that the party would not break up under his watch.
A source said the presidency was considering giving Tinubu four ministerial slots, to compensate for the loss of speaker and Senate president.
But sources in the party said that there are some hardliners who were of the view that Buhari could continue to call Tinubu’s bluff, having assumed the position of party leader.
