Actor Emeka Ike’s Wife Files For Divorce As Marriage Crashed Over Constant Beating

What can I say? Folks hardly go into marriage with good heart. When you love sincerely, some will play on you, manipulate you for selfish reasons, until God in His mercies intervene and deliver you. Sad!
Popular actor Emeka Ike and his wife are ending their 12-year-old marriage. The wife, Emma Ike, has filed for divorce, citing constant beating, saying he sometimes calls her witch anytime they fight.

Emma said her husband is constantly battering her. Below is what she told a customary court:
“It was when my husband beat me mercilessly I believed that people truly saw stars whenever they were unconscious. It was my brother who took me to the hospital where I spent two months.
"There was also a day I was feeding our last child with tea, my husband, out of anger took the tea and poured it on my head.”

“I even persuaded his sister to bring four of her children to our school without paying a dime but instead of showing appreciation, she said I was a lavish spender and that was how I stopped being in charge of his school.

“Each time we fight, he calls me a witch saying whenever he intends to start a project and he informs me it eventually fails. He also said if he hadn’t married me, I would have become a prostitute,” she said.
“Since I left, he doesn’t allow me to speak with our first two children asking me to come home if I really want to see them. Even when I was in with him, he leaves home for months on the pretext of different appointments. I can’t face all this anymore. I need help,”

Emeka Ike and his estranged wife are bless with 4 kids. The case has been adjourned till July 22nd.

Los Angeles Judge refuses to dismiss murder case against Suge Knight

A judge ruled Tuesday that Marion "Suge" Knight should stand trial on murder charges even though a key witness, one of the men he's accused of running over, refused to identify him in court.

Cle "Bone" Sloan told detectives it was Knight who ran over him and another man outside a Compton burger stand in January, killing the other man and seriously injuring Sloan. But when Sloan testified about the incident at Knight's preliminary hearing in April, he refused to say Knight ran him over.

Knight's attorney Thomas Mesereau said the judge should reject Sloan's testimony because his changing story showed he isn't credible.
But Superior Court Judge Stephen A. Marcus said he could not evaluate the credibility of witnesses at a preliminary hearing. The judge noted, "He doesn't say that it's not him."

He also cited evidence that Sloan and Knight had bad blood between them for years, calling the fight that led to the fatal confrontation part of an ongoing "soap opera" between the men.

"The only person who had a motive was Suge Knight," the judge said.

Sloan told detectives he repeatedly punched Knight through the window of his pickup moments before he was run over. After running over Sloan, Knight ran over and killed Terry Carter, 55, investigators said.

Knight's attorneys have said their client was ambushed and fleeing an attack when he ran over the men.
Mesereau said after the hearing that the case was in its early stages and he wouldn't comment further.
Knight is being held on $10 million bail, which Mesereau said Tuesday he would seek to have reduced.

Knight has prior felony convictions for armed robbery and assault with a gun. He was driving the car when Shakur was shot and killed in Las Vegas, a crime that has gone unsolved.

A judge on Tuesday also set a preliminary hearing for Sept. 17 in an unrelated robbery case filed after a celebrity photographer accused Knight and comedian Katt Williams of stealing her camera last year.

Photo: Nigerian man sentenced to life in prison for drug trafficking in Indonesia, prosecutors to push for death sentence

An Indonesian court on Monday July 6th sentenced 33 year old Nigerian man Uzoma Elele Alpha (pictured above) to life imprisonment for possessing banned substances - methamphetamine and marijuana - worth an estimated $451,400.

Uzoma was arrested at his apartment at the Margonda Residence tower in Depok in December 2014 during a raid by authorities from the immigration office. The banned substance was found in his home after a search was conducted. Uzoma was discovered to also be living in the country illegally.

"Uzoma Elele Alpha has been proven guilty for owning grade 1 narcotic drugs and is sentenced to life imprisonment,” Judge Hariyanto said in his ruling at the court on the southern outskirts of Jakarta.
Chief prosecutor Eddy Abdul Aziz said his team would consider mounting an appeal to obtain the death sentence. Indonesian has strong policies against drug trafficking in their country. 4 Nigerians were in April this year executed in Indonesia for drug trafficking.

The source said,
“The former Governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Sule Lamido, and his two sons, Mustapha and Aminu, were arrested this morning by operatives of the commission.
“They were actually arrested very early this morning, they were with us for hours before they were flown to Kano for possible arraignment on Wednesday (today).
“They left Abuja Airport around 2.30pm. It is most likely that they would be arraigned tomorrow (Wednesday), that I can tell you.”
The EFCC had arrested the two sons of the governor in November 2014, over alleged misappropriation of billions of naira belonging to the Jigawa State Government.

Operatives of the commission investigating Lamido and his sons alleged that billions of naira that belonged to the state government was traced into the accounts of companies owned and run by the governor and his two sons.

The Head of Media and Publicity of the EFCC, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, confirmed the arrest of the former governor and two of his sons.
He said,
“I can confirm to you that the former Governor of Jigawa a State, Alhaji Sule Lamido and his two sons are with the commission.”
