Buhari Needs Men Like Fashola

“The day Tunde Fashola picks up a form to run for Presidency, I, Oby Ezekwesili shall sign up to volunteer for his campaign team.” Those were the words of former minister of education, Mrs. Oby Ezekwesili. Fashola is so brilliant that most Nigerians don’t mind him becoming President someday.

Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), who was the 13th Governor of Lagos State, would be remembered as one of the best leaders this country has ever produced.

Before Fashola’s tenure as Lagos state governor, the city used to be known as a very rough and dirty city. However, with the emergence of the ‘special one’, sanity was almost brought back to Lagos.

He is always used as example whenever Nigerians are discussing about good governance.
For instance, Kogi citizens are clamouring for someone as sound and committed to public service as Fashola to govern Kogi state.

Ibrahim Yahaya who is a social commentator from Kogi state said, “Kogi is in dire need of someone like Fashola. We don’t want any mediocre as governor. We need someone we can be proud of just like how Lagosians are proud of Fashola.”

Credit should also be given to his predecessor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for allowing someone as brilliant as Fashola take over from him.

Beneath Fashola’s quiet demeanor is a man who is aggressively dedicated to public service and the growth of Nigeria.

Fashola not being included in Buhari’s plan would be tantamount to political suicide. I am very optimistic that Buhari himself is well aware of the importance of having a Fashola as an integral part of his cabinet.

Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora love Fashola. It would be difficult to find any man born of a Nigerian who doesn’t love Fashola. Well, aside from the few who were at the opposing end before the victory of President Muhammdau Buhari.

It would be recalled that Fashola was endorsed by many Nigerians to be Buhari’s running mate irrespective of his religious affiliation.

However, the visionary Tinubu, aka ‘Jagaban’ and APC leaders saw the danger in choosing Fashola as Buhari’s running mate.

While APC members were busy making political calculations regarding the choice of a VP, PDP members were fasting and praying for Fashola to emerge. Their wish was for Fashola to be chosen as Buhari’s running mate so they could unleash their venom of religious division.

Buhari was already been tagged as an Islamic bigot whose only quest was to Islamize Nigeria. They also labeled APC an Islamic party. Their desperation knew no bounds to the extent that they said, “APC is a replica of the Muslim brotherhood party in Egypt”. They did that in order to get the eyes and ears of the Western powers whose disdain for Islamism is public knowledge.

In my opinion, the choice of Professor Yemi Osinbajo was the best for the party and the country.

There have been reports in the mainstream and social media that Tinubu is not interested in Fashola attaining greater heights due to his towering image.

Well, I wouldn’t want to believe that after all Tinubu’s brilliant political maneuverings that he would want to dent his image by not wanting Fashola to get any political appointment.

According to a reliable source, “since Buhari will be answerable to Nigerians on the performance of his ministers, the final decision of who will be in the incoming Federal Executive Council is his choice.
“If the General insists on having Fashola in his cabinet, Tinubu just has to learn to live with it as there is nothing he can do about it.” He said.

Buhari’s recent trip to Germany is a further indication of the President’s fondness of Fashola.

Many political analysts are of the view that Fashola would not just be a cabinet member but would have the ears of Buhari on national issues.

Fashola has earned his place due to his brilliance and humble disposition. Hardly would any leader craving for success ignore Fashola.

Aside from the love Nigerians have for Buhari, Fashola’s intelligent and tactical savvy also played a big role in endearing educated Nigerians to the APC. In other words, from all indications, Buhari might not ignore the party’s ‘poster boy’ in the scheme of things.

Just like a football team needs a player (Maradona) that can make a difference if the chips are down, so does Buhari need a Fashola to create moments of brilliance.

When other politicians and former governors were in Abuja jostling for positions for themselves and their cronies, Fashola was in Lagos having a quiet time. He believes they should be the ones looking for him and not the other way round. His is so sure of his potentials that he knows any serious minded government would require his services.

He is one of the few former governors who can be hardly regarded as a regular politician. His is seen more as a technocrat by many despite governing Lagos for eight good years.

As a result of how he is viewed by the average Nigerians and those at the corridors of power, no matter how he decides to shy away from the politicking going on in Abuja, at the end of the day, he would be called upon to serve his fatherland because “a golden fish has no hiding place”.

In the words of Mrs. Oby Ezekwesili, “Only a strange nation would have a Tunde Fashola and not deploy him to solve as many problems as possible. We need him. He doesn’t need a job”. She said.

Fashola is vastly experienced to man any position he may be offered by the Buhari administration. Based on his antecedents, he is well grounded in public service.

Before he became governor, he served in Lagos state in various capacities, including
Secretary of lands sub- Committee of the Transitional work Groups 1999, member of the panel of enquiry into allocation of houses on the Mobolaji Johnson Housing Scheme at Lekki, 2000, member of the State Tenders Board 2002-2006, Chairman Ad-Hoc Committee on the review of asset distribution among local government.

He was also Chief of Staff to his predecessor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. As the Chief of Staff he was also the Honourable Commissioner to the Governor’s office. He was the first person to hold both offices simultaneously.

Kwankwaso Warns Saraki: Don’t Kill APC With Your Ambition

Former Governor of Kano State and Senator representing Kano Central, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has warned the Senate President, Bukola Sarki, against using his ambition to destroy the party they laboured to build and betray the confidence which Nigerians reposed in them by voting them for change.

In an interview with newsmen in Abuja, the former Defence Minister regretted that the Senate President had used his ambition to destroy party discipline and should be punished for it.

Kwankwaso also said the position of Deputy Senate President, currently being held by Ike Ekweremadu, did not belong to PDP and must be returned to APC.

He added that for the 16 years that PDP ruled the country, at no time did the opposition get the benefit of having such a high profile position.

According to the APC chieftain, Saraki’s ambition has given the defeated PDP an opportunity to reap where they did not sow because they were rejected in the polls by Nigerians.

‘I’m most qualified’
Declaring that he (Kwankwanso) was very qualified to contest the Senate Presidency because he was the only governor that gave President Buhari 1.9 million votes, which is 100 percent in Kano state and the only Senator that gave the party 750,000 from his senatorial district, he noted that since the President came from his zone, they agreed to give the seat to another zone which was middle belt, but Saraki’s ambition disrupted the process.

He pointed out that “from the day President Buhari’s victory was announced, things have started changing in the country. The power situation is improving, shares in the market are going up, while the exchange rate is stabilising.”

Kwankwaso said things would have been put right by the party immediately after the official announcement of the results, but the leadership delayed and this was what Saraki capitalised on to do what he did.

On whether President Buhari actually summoned the meeting of all elected National Assembly members on the platform of APC on the day of the election of Senate President, Kwankwaso said that it was on the morning of that day that he received a text message, that President Buhari will address them at ICC.

Senator Kwankwaso said when Saraki stated his ambition, he advised him not to go too far with it because as far as they were concerned, PDP was dead, and now he has given them hope.

On the way forward, he said if he were the party chairman, he would personally write to each APC Senators and House of Reps member to express his displeasure over the unfortunate incident.

He added that PDP have their own agenda to tackle APC and, at the end of the day, irritate the President and put hurdles before him.

So Toke Makinwa snatched her husband from another woman?

In Lagos, single and married ladies know how to monitor themselves. They know who is doing what with a married man or a single guy. Below is what a babe who knew all about the saga revealed:
"Toke can lie for Africa. Before I write my own let me say Maje Ayida is a dog/woman wrapper from time!! Whether Toke stays @ home or is a ‘career woman’ he was going to cheat no matter what!! BUT Toke was Anita a stalker? Was Erica a stalker?
Were you not the side chick when he was formally dating those ladies?! Who chased them away from Maje so there would be space for you? Was it not you and your Bacchus friends? Sending them anonymous emails, texts messages and phone calls?
Harassing them in clubs, spilling drinks on them, all sorts of childish things to let them know you were his side chick then? Na lie?!

The babe who made this revelation on BN went on...
"Maje was dating Anita you (Toke) were seeing him on the side in those days of Bacchus same with Erica coswoth, did you really think after u managed to chase them that you will have peace in that marriage?!!

He cheated on them with you so of course he will cheat on you too!

Karma is a bitch, anyway as for Maje yes we all know you didn’t really want to marry toke, I mean even up to a few days to your wedding you were asking your friends if you should marry her.... Smh! but nobody forced you you to go to the registration office without your family’s consent so as you make your bed u must lie in it and make it work out with Toke.

Anita I wish you a safe delivery because your baby is innocent in all this abd I know Toke made your life a living hell while you and Maje were dating then... Maje go and settle with your wife, make it up to her, Toke it is well after all you got what you wanted nah - Mrs Ayida. But sarcasm aside keep your head up, this will soon be stale gist.

But you Toke Makinwa know he will always love Anita so if you are wise cut your losses now."

So Men Paid Dollars before they could See Patience Jonathan?

This rumour was flying around when Goodluck Jonathan was president but I didn't believe it until now.

First Lady Aisha Buhari has warned influence peddlers never to collect money from people who want to see her or President Muhammadu Buhari.

Speaking on Saturday night at a dinner at the Banquet Hall of Aso Rock in Abuja, she said:
“There is nothing people did not say about the past administration. It is not Jonathan that is not good but the people around him. So, the people that are going to be around President Buhari have to be very careful because this election ended peacefully.

“We are praying and hoping that people around him should know that it took him 12 years to get to that position and they must know that they are coming to serve the masses, not President Buhari.

“It is the people that are around him that will determine the political health of our state.”

Stressing that the Buhari administration would run an open government, Mrs. Buhari said it would be run in clear departure from what obtained in the Goodluck Jonathan’s administration when people were allegedly asked to pay money in foreign currency before they could see the President or his wife.

She said: “I will like to inform you that in the past regime, whether it is true or false, only God knows, some people were going round and parading themselves as Personal Assistants.

If you wanted to see the First Lady, you would pay $30,000 or $50,000 and if you were seeing the President, you would pay all that you have gathered in your lifetime.

“This will not happen in our regime. Whoever asks you to give a single penny in the name of coming to see the President or his wife is not our staff. He is not an APC member, it is a lie. Don’t be deceived.”

Noting that she did not take part in the campaigns of her husband in the first three times he contested and failed, Mrs Buhari said her active participation in the last electioneering made the difference.

She said APC National Leader Asiwaju Bola Tinubu encouraged her to join her husband's campaign.

Toke Makinwa's Husband Impregnates Calabar Girl [DETAILS]

Some ladies just make me laugh, but it's those who allow themselves to be fooled by so called big girls of nowadays who are claiming Miss Independent that I pity the most. You are married to an African man and you will come on Radio or TV to claim equal rights, you will soon be single. Simple!

Toke Makinwa who has been advising other ladies on how to keep their man and stop him from cheating is now a major victim of the same epistle. I no fit laugh, abeg! Not that I'm happy that 'my sister' is  in such a mess, but when you try to advise these ladies they would say you're trying to control them.

Men and woman were never made to be equal. Do you know why there are so many single mothers in places like America, UK, etc? It's because their society is trying to force men to be equal with women and the men can only remain in such a state for a short period.
Why should a man have a wife and be getting another girl pregnant? It's the nature of a man. 90% of men, if not even 99%, have slept with other women apart from their wife. So, why not just allow a man marry two or four wives if he can take care of them, rather than force him to pretend he is sleeping with only one wife, when in actual fact he is enjoying several girls in secret...

Each time I listen to Toke Makinwa talk with Zainab and other ladies on Ebony Life TV I used to tell folks around me that people like this wont last in marriage. It's not difficult to see, they want to be very very independent from a man and once there are two equal captains in a home, a crash is coming soon.

Her husband, Maje Ayida has impregnated his ex-girlfriend Anita Solomon and Anita is currently in the UK to give birth to their baby. Sadly, Toke Makinwa who has been with him for over 13 years has not given birth to any child for him.

Anita is a lawyer, so she is not an ignorant bitch but a sharp babe who is ready to respect and love a man as the head, just the way a real woman should and not one who will set rules for her man.

While confirming the gist that Maje has impregnated the Calabar girl, a source said:
'It's so true...100% confirmed! Anita is in UK to have Maje's baby. I visited her Aunty and they confirmed she's pregnant for a married man from Delta, one Maje...''

Even if Maje try to reconcile with Toke later, the deed is done.

Dear ladies, it is VERY difficult for a man (African) to be with only one woman. Forget what you hear in some churches. So, if you're lucky to have a husband who is a one-woman-man, give him all the love and respect he deserves. Don't try to rub shoulder with him by claiming nonsense equal rights.

Love your husband and make sure you give "it" to him more than any lady out there can give him!

Buhari to Dump Rotimi Amaechi as Choice of SGF?

The signals coming from the Presidency following Bukola Saraki's coup as Senate President is not very good for ex-Governor Rotimi Amaechi, who many had thought would get the SGF for his hard work.

Three APC chiefs and a bureaucrat are in the race for Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

Those being strongly recommended for the SGF position are Amaechi (South-South), Ogbonnaya Onu (South-East), APC National Chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun (Edo) and a former occupant of the office, Amb. Babagana Kingibe.

But a new man is coming from North-East to take the SGF because Saraki cheated the North-East.

Although, President Muhammadu Buhari is yet to make up his mind on who gets the job, but from the look of things, Amaechi can't get it again.

According to The Nation, there are three issues Buhari is trying to resolve:
•should the SGF go to the North-East or South-South or South-East?
•should he be a cosmopolitan young element or an experienced bureaucrat?
•how to avoid the “way and manner a former SGF turned the office into an ethnic enclave and destroyed the ethos of the civil service."

The former SGF reportedly politicised appointments, resulting in a situation whereby two people were given letters for an office.

The President is said to be concerned about geopolitical balance in appointments.

The power sharing in the Executive and the Legislature so far has shown that only the South-South is yet to be accommodated.

The breakdown is as follows: President (North-West); Vice-President (South-West); President of the Senate (North-Central); Deputy President of the Senate (South-East); the Speaker of the House of Representatives (North-East); the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives (South-West).

But it was gathered that Buhari does not want to subject the appointment of the SGF to Federal Character due to what a source described as “the sensitive nature of the office”.

A highly-placed source in the Presidency said: “The delay in appointing the SGF is borne out of the fact that the President has left it open for the consideration of many eligible Nigerians.

“Apart from playing a crucial role as the engine room of Buhari’s campaign, some forces in the Presidency believe Amaechi combines youthful age advantage and political experience to occupy the office.

“The only fear of Buhari in Amaechi is youthful exuberance, temperament and a down-to-heart attitude which may not be ideal for a technical and diplomatic assignment.

“But pro-Amaechi forces in the presidency pointed to Amaechi’s calmness, composure and the successful coordination of the Presidential Campaign as signs of his readiness for the job.

“They also said having staked his integrity and life on the line for Buhari, only the SGF is befitting for a man like Amaechi, not a mere ministerial job.
